Smith by a mile . . . it's what he does under the sheets for 80 minutes that puts a smile where it should be

They weren't important games.

Benjis better if the team is down by 2 with a minute then up by 2. The last play against the warriors is still a disgrace and I wish the media made a massive deal out of it so he might learn some kind of lesson.

Farah has produced more match winning plays for the tigers with the game on the line then benji anyway.

People will always love to bag Benji, such is life.

He is still the player anyone would want if their side was down by 1-6 with 2 to go. As others have suggested not as good when leading by a slender margin.

Field Goals: Peter Wallace or Jamie Soward. (Sandows a great field goal kicker but on alot of occassions after the field goal the bunnies went on to lose)
Conversions: Kurt Gidley or Johnathan Thurston. (Luke Burt's won a few but he also missed a sitter against the tigers in 2010)
General Play: Benji Marshall, Jarryd Hayne, Cameron Smith.
Clutch Defenders: Nathan Hindmarsh or Billy Slater.

Glenn Stewart is perhaps the most underrated player in the game in this regard. It was his play just before half time, that really gave Manly the ascendancy in the grand final. He's more responsible for Manly's success this year than the two young halves.

Slater not for what he does with the ball but how he defends IMO what makes him the best clutch player in the game is his on the line desperation defence imo that try denial he provides wins more games then the big magical plays.

His running with the ball in broken play is fantastic and almost always turns a game a on it's head.

From a Souths point of view, most likely for us would be Inglis.

Although John Sutton (laugh if you will) has produced some dominant performances with that last second pass to Scott Geddes in round 26 of 2009 to win the game. Also Merritt in the same year with the field goal against Wests.

If you're relying on Inglis to win you games in the balance you're going to be in for another tough year.

If the team was behind, I would take Benji. When the team is in front, he doesn't play his natural game as much and tends to make more errors.
