Is the just me or the BBL pumped up way too much as a competition.

I haven't seen much of it this year saw a little bit last night as the Thunder were playing but gee the standard just seemed horrible.

Fielding was below par, batting wasn't great, bowling was decent but i think just as much to do with the batting being poor then it is the bowling.

I almost feel like the peak of this summer has already happened with the WC win a month ago. Now it just seems like were just going to go through the motions.

The BBL is a domestic compettition with a few journeyman kiwis and mediocre poms thrown in.

Besides Rashid Khan De Kock is the only genuine superstar I've seen play in it for years.

Its always been way overhyped and pretty poor quality.

I would also argue Perth Scorchers is the only side in the comp that there fans actually give a shit about how there side goes. And are passionate about.

Thunder winning the BBL would be great but at the same time it wouldn't mean anything like Parramatta winning a premiership or the World cup win a few weeks ago.

You don't see the same passion with all the other sides.

I feel CA stuffed up at the start they should branded the Thunder as Western Sydney Thunder. Its only a small thing but both Melbourne & Sydney teams being called by the city. You look at the footy codes we are used to being attached to an area.

Calling both Sixers & Thunder as Sydney has made it too fake for me.

Not sure what the renegades could have been called in Melbourne.

But certainly in Sydney i feel West v East rivalry should have been better marketed from the start.
