Just bought 8 tickets, PAX = 27,920 +
just got my tickets, pax no. 40225
Hasn't this pax number myth has been well and truly debunked by now? This was quoted from NRL.com at 6pm last night "As of 5pm today, 12,500 tickets had been sold to Eels and Bulldogs Club Members and in a sign that their rivalry is just as close off the field, the split between fans today in designated supporter bays was 51% Eels and 49% Bulldogs."
The top poster posted at 9.45pm last night and the pax number was 27,920, Now surely since the NRL.com article was posted that 15,420 tickets weren't sold in 5 hours after it (which was still only the members priority booking window) and especially given since only 12,500 tickets were sold all day in 8 hours yesterday. Im sure there was great demand for public tickets today but that still doesn't explain the 15k that were apparently sold from 5-10pm last night.
The second poster posted at 9.46 this morning and his pax was 40,255 which means there were 27,755 tickets sold in since 5pm yesterday until this morning. No matter which way you look at it that just wasn't gonna happen which once again shows that the pax number isn't a true reflection of how mant tickets have been sold.
It's entirely possible ANZ members were added to the pax figure overnight or late yesterday. There was also the myNRL pre-sale in between the members and general public last night. And then 46 minutes of public sale before we saw the 40,255 at 9:46am today.Hasn't this pax number myth has been well and truly debunked by now? You could very well be correct. I am getting the same feeling. The build up to this game is sensational and must be replicated next year.I'm revising my prediction:
Min: 65,000
Max: Sellout.
If this isn't a sell-out, then you Sydneysiders are kidding yourselves.
