if the guy is a true eels fan he would never do anything that might damage the club would any of you?

Do you really think having a mug lair, drug lord, posing around with all his baffoons, in one of our corporate boxes, is a good look ?

Police said high-ranking Parramatta chapter Bandidos member Mustafa Jouayde changed his first name to Samir four years ago and used his new name to evade detection as late as last year.

yeh this guy sounds like a great guy to sponsor your club, sponsorship as said by somebody else is a two way street, the eelsput the brand out but if the brand is tainted it for some reason reflects badly on the club as i guess it shows poor judgement, plus you know the media spin doctors will find something and turn it another

i guess the prudent thing would be to punt the guy to ensure nothing taints the club i just hate how the media crucify people playing judge, jury and executioner none of us are perfect

How do you think that the will Telecrap deal with headlines like these in the future ?
are there is the bigger picture, should we be lying in bed with the telecrap feeding them inside info. They should be kept at arms length. After a great win all we have heard is how manly were cheated (which is far from the truth when the whole game is looked at) and once again a negative story appears concerning someone loosely associated with the club.

Thats crap.

The negative story has been buried because of the sory about Oscar and having his name embrouided on the jerseys on Friday night.

No, that's for sure...and if he a true bikie, he won't do any thing to damage the 'god fearing squeaky clean image of the misunderstood, but really just ordinary blokes' outlaw bikie gangs - would you?..
Especially if you were liable to cop a bollard over the head in an ambush.

don't you mean thats the telecrap.

it was still a negative story that was given space and as it was a nothing story it should disappear quickly but why write it in the first place.

Yes I'm sure that he's a fine upstanding member of the Parramatta business community and the Paul Osborne would have completed a rigorous process of due diligence before accepting Mr Jouayde as a sponsor.

You idiot, yeah right, whenever anyone or any business takes money from a customer they do a background check on them and on where their money may have come from.

This is a business. If someone is breaking the law, then that is what the police are for. Football clubs are not in the law enforcement industry.

You must live in a cave Ram. NRL teams rely on sponsors and fans to supplement their major source of income (the NRL grant). This is an entirely different business model than the simplistic business/customer scenario you've suggested. Just look at the Zappia dramas last year at the Sharks and tell me that it's not important to dot your i's and cross your t's.

Gronk & Maroubra Eel

Grow a brain between you two, back slapping numb nuts, would you? Are you to tell me that every single sponsor that has a box in every sport around the world is legit and has been scrutinized by the clubs that receive their money?

Wake up please. The world is full of dodgy business people, but unless they are charged with something then why would any other business refuse to accept their money. It's not as if Parra are doing anything untoward or illegal. They are just another client on their books. One of many.

If any sponsor for any organization were to end up on the wrong side of the law for anything, how is it the clubs problem other then a public statement, in extreme circumstances, distancing itself from whatever the illegal issue was and the regret of losing a sponsor? No business can be held accountable for another's indiscretions, unless they took part in them.

One would have thought you two would have understood this most basic of principles. Not to mention the most fundamental law that our courts are run by and that is 'Everyone shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to the law'. Remember?

Oh and Gronk, stop rolling your eyes so much, I think it has given you brain freeze.

Ok I get you. The appropriate business model we should adopt is:-

 Yes, now you got it, that's how business works. Always has always will. Like I said unless there is some sort of crime committed then, money is money. We are not the police, judge or jury.

As long as they are paying money and don't do a Westpoint to DJR or a Firepower to Tasman Motorsport / Kings / Force / Souths, then we are fine and money is money.

Hell we always used to joke about Roy Spagnolo and "Desi" were the clubs Italian Gentleman's Club.

We're not talking about rubber cheques here MITS. We're talking about ethics when it comes to the source of the money.

Perhaps I'm fighting the unwinable war here. I'm campaigning against potentially "dirty" money, yet we get a heap by fleecing little old ladies via the one armed bandits. <sigh> Put a fork in me, I'm done...

The Club should try and line up a few brothels too. Has anyone approached Eddie Hayson?
If the Club is going to abandon all its principles and get into bed with anyone who has a quid, why not go the whole hog. Be a great night in the Corporate area, one box full of bikies, and next door, hookers.
