The guy is the head of a criminal organisation.

Technically, Al Capone was only guilty of tax evasion. Would he have been a good fit for sponsorship?

Is this any different to John Ibrahim sponsoring the Roosters?

NO.

Samir owns legit business.. he is no longer a bandido.

Not saying I disagree with the idea of not getting sponsorship from a crook......

but is it the amount of money that concerns some of us? Do we vet everyone that buys a ticket for example?
I know they don't get their name announced but they are still contributing to the club through buying tickets, memberships, merch etc.

Where do you draw the line?

IIRC they are to be the sponsor of Timana Tahu.

I think Ossie has pretty good judgement on this like this.

I'm surprised, a bit uneasy with the association to the Bandidos and the fact the coppers contacted the club.

But Hayzny makes a good point about where the line is drawn.

Should this guy ever get pinned for something, then the club would need to act (ie cancel sponsorship and donate the money to charity) - but until that day comes it's not black and white IMO. It basically comes down to Osborne making a judgement call.

Maybe some of that were around in the Late 90's and Early 2000's can remind me, but wasn't the Royal Oak,

A) Owned by a Motorcycle Club, the Banditos if I am not mistaken.
B) Sponsored the Eels
C) Was the regular hang out for the clubs players, including the site of Mad Monday until 2004 when it was closed for refurbishments.

I would rather be sponsored by an OMCG than a corporate arm of hillsong church

Police swoop on bikie gangs

A TIP-off from the Australian Tax Office led to the arrests of three men allegedly associated with outlaw bikie gangs and the seizure of a gun allegedly linked to the shooting of a bikie boss late last year.

NSW Police gangs squad officers arrested the trio in raids yesterday which involved searches of 12 houses and businesses. The sting was part of an operation to combat money laundering.
One of the raids was at Parramatta Ink, a tattoo parlour in Church St. Records show its ownership is linked to senior members of the Bandidos Parramatta chapter.
Although no arrests have been made in relation to tax fraud, police warned charges were likely.
During the simultaneous raids carried out across Sydney, police also allegedly located an amount of drugs and cash, along with a firearm which was allegedly used in the drive-by shooting of senior Notorious member Saber Murad, on November 29 last year.

Murad, 29, was shot in the thigh and groin outside his Doonside home.
The weapon was allegedly found at the home of a 23-year-old Rhodes man, who police said was a Comanchero member.
The man was last night charged with seven offences including attempted murder and three counts of unauthorised sale of prohibited firearms, relating to the alleged shooting at Doonside.
The other arrests included a 19-year-old man who police claimed was an associate of the Comanchero. He is expected to be charged over a carjacking at Parklea in December. A third man, a 26-year-old from Rhodes also linked to the Comanchero, was expected to be charged with larceny and possession of a firearm.

Enjoy the season of deathriding fellas.

How pissed off will you be if the club is successful?

Nice spin BF. We all want success. However unlike you, not at all cost.

This thread is about a sponsor who owns a tattoo palour and has recently been arrested and will (allegedly) be charged with money laundering. I wonder why he would need to launder his cash - proceeds of crime you think ? Maybe there is a simple explanation. I'm all ears ...
