Roosters(just an awesome side, wen they fire would be impossible to beat)
Panthers, warriors and raiders come next.
i would have the Knights, Tigers, Eels and Bulldogs next. Tigers will be very good next year.
Bronco's and Dragons next, Bronco's continuew sliding and the Dragons just dont play well.
Storm, just dont really rate them im afraid.
Cowboys, Why does everyone get so excited about them? Will never do anything special.
Sharks, off field dramas will lead to on field losses.
South Sydney, come on you rabbits, keep crawling up their.
Manly, exactly where they deserve to be. The scum will stay at the bottom for years to come.

Penrith after a fluke year they will return to there rightfull place...the bottom half of the table, overachievers this year, underachievers the next.

.

Mate, I think you've been in too many porn films, blowing your load off too much, and as a consequence your IQ levels have sunken lower than the bottom of the pools you clean.

It's only just the beginning for the Panthers. Apart from Sattler leaving, the team remains pretty much the same for next year.

They proved imbeciles like you, Phil Gould and Rooster Cogburn wrong this year, and they'll do it again next year

Season 2004 - ANOTHER YEAR OF THE PANTHER - I'M EXCITED!!!

*Burp* keep the sexual remarks to the fun bar not the NRL discussion page.

Begining of what??...the end!!, they fluked this year....how come there is only 1 starting Kangeroo??, because there is still doubts over the players!!

They will finish way outside the 8 next year.

It's no coincidence that the Roosters side is still the side everyone talks about as the best.

Because anderson cant keep away from crapmorleys ass and is started to be attracted to all the prettyboy cock players, and cant handle the fact, like goose gould, cockbum and yourself that Penrith done better then thier respective teams. Any disagreement by you is the fact you cant handle the truth

They fluked the year....i have never seen a side have so much luck in a year!...i also haven't seen a side with such a defensive record win it either!, They where entitled to win the "Bradbury Premiership", The roosters fell over at the last hurdle!

I can handle the truth...they won the GF fair & square ON THE DAY!...however there side isn't a side that will be spoken about lengths in years to come...The Roosters will start as Premiership favourites...& the Panthers around 6th or 7th,

WAKE UP!!

Everyone is saying that the NRL 2003 season was the best season for many years, if not decades. How many other seasons in the past have been given that kind of distinction?!?!

And isn't it coincidental that in season 2003 - "The Best Season" - that the Panthers have finally made it back to where they belong, ON TOP???

It's been years of hard work for the Panthers to get this far. And unfortunately, narrow minded people like you Ron Jeremy refuse to recognise the fact that THE PENRITH PANTHERS ARE ON TOP!!! THEY ARE NUMERO UNO!! THEY HAVE BOTH THE MINOR PREMEIRSHIP AND THE TELSTRA PREMIERSHIP TROPHIES TO PROVE IT!!

The most satisfying thing of all about the Panthers win? They gave the Roosters their BIGGEST defeat of the season!!! They threw everything at Penrith, and the better team won!! We've beaten you guys TWICE this season!! Even in our unfortunate wooden spoon year 2001, we STILL BEAT THE ROOSTERS TWICE!!!!

You say that the Panthers side wont be spoken about for years to come? They're STILL talking about it. They're talking about how they shut those cocky Roosters up!! How do you know no one talks about it? Come down to Penrith and see if anyone still remembers it!!! The roosters made the grand final, and yet Reg Reagan couldn't find anyone in the heart of Rooster territory that knew anything about it.

You comment about their defensive record? Well people always say that its how you play in the Grand Final that counts. Let me give you a reminder about their defensive record in the grand final Jeremy.....

PENRITH 18 - roosters 6. Thats right!! SIX. That means they only let the Roosters score once. AND.........they kept them scoreless for an entire half!! Now to my knowledge, no other team in the NRL has been able to do that this year. Guess who broke that drought???? And you talk about their defence? Don't even get me started about Scott Sattler (a forward) pulling off the most spectacular tackle of the season against Bryne (the fastest man in the Roosters club they keep saying). DEFENCE!!!

Mate - NOW THATS A GRAND FINAL, AND A SEASON TO REMEMBER!!!

Season 2002???? Who won that year again? Oh that's right. The Bulldogs should have won...........

I really like the fact everyone is writing souths off. Keep it up. It'll make next year all that much more sweeter.

I mean honestly, with the players we have, how can we come last? Do the people that formulate these oppinions actually realise the players we have? They'll have developed combinations in quick time in 2004 after the majority of them went through such a struggle last year.

Looking at the players manly have, I tend to feel they have less depth and less talent than souths have at their disposal. Relying on Jye Mullane or Michael Monoghan to step up is a huge gamble.

Cronulla has good players but they'll be in big trouble again next year if they don't sort out their internal dramas. As a souths fan, i know this first hand.

I expect Souths to come 13th and have a tussle with Wests for 12th. Wests have bought pretty well and they are going to be improving quite a bit under sheens.

A question that Souths fans will probably have for Langmack before long.
Admire the loyality.

Yes it has improved, it still remains one of the weakest - on paper anyway. Lets not forget the coach etc.

Agreed Manly will struggle, and may well take to spoon from Souths, could be some else.

Agreed, my team will struggle as they did this year if they do not sort themselves out. On paper we have potential. They seem down the bottom with Souths and Manly for most.
Ben Walker think you'll go to the semis. :D

Mr Angry,
Souths head coach is Paul Langmack.
Assistant NRL coaches are Brendan Hurst and Bob McCarthy
Premier League coach is Artur Kinatis
Halves coach and kicking coach is Mitch Healey

We did not have such a 'complete' coaching structure last year. The players struggled under those conditions. But the wealth of knowledge in the coaching staff is much stronger this year. With senior players Terry Hill and Adam MacDougall leading the new breed of youngsters, we will be improving quite a bit and we are going to shock a lot of people. Bryan Fletcher spoke to the fan base on behalf of the players and stated that there will be no repeat of 2003. The players were embarressed and will be busting their arse to make sure it never happens again. Knowing Bryan, I am inclined to take this as gospel.

A new board after this years AGM is going to settle almost all of the internal drama and the fans and players know this.

I haven't heard a single Raiders fan write Monaghan off as a talentless hack since he signed with Manly. It's usually a sign of a good player if fans of the club he left don't talk him down.

I challenge any Bears fan to have a look at the clubs figures in the years 1995-1999, and then blame Manly for your misfortune. 2000-01 was borrowed time for your joke of a club who tried to sabotage the JV by telling Coasties not to attend matches and telling the leagues club not to assist the JV anymore, even though NS Leagues is a bottomless pit of cash (Who refused to help in 1999, funny that eh?). Maybe if your board had been more responsible you'd still be a wealthy club. God Knows, The NS Leagues club has no idea what to do with all the money that isn't going to the football club anymore    .

This is just my opinion... should not be taken seriously by anyone! :p

1. Roosters (are still seen as the benchmark)
2. Panthers (will not be one season wonders)
3. Dragons (got the team, injuries and consistency the key)
4. Warriors (will once again be amongst the top teams)
5. Knights (can never be discounted)
6. Raiders (got the team capable of being a force)
7. Sharks (2003 never existed!)
8. Cowboys (their time has come)
9. Broncos (not on a slide, but may struggle a bit - might be wrong though!)
10. Bulldogs (with their team being dismantled, could be a few years on the outer)
11. Eels (toss of a coin really... but will hover around here, could be a finals proposition)
12. Tigers (will make a dramatic improvement, but could be caught in the logjam)
13. Storm (overachieved this year, 2004 will be interesting to see if they can reproduce it)
14. Bunnies (will be a better team - good times ahead)
15. Sea Eagles (sorry, but I just see the other teams being better than them... prove me wrong!)
