Everyone wants an answer before the Easter Weekend games start so I guess something should be confirmed in the next 48 hours.....

No worries Flanno moves on.

There is a lot of young talent out there and Flanno will continue to add quality to our squad.

Thanks Jack for being a part of the Sharks Premiership winning team.

Your bravery playing on with one arm was a big factor that we held on to win.

All the best Champ!

Brisbane get their man and only for a tiny bit of overs too. 700K a season. Nice to see another player who is not greedy and has a manager that advises against taking an extra 1 million over 3 yrs. There's something coming over player managers who advise their clients to move to Brisbane. They all go for so much less than they can get elsewhere.

Jack Bird rejects Cronulla Sharks offer to join the Brisbane Broncos
David Riccio, The Daily Telegraph

JACK Bird has decided this morning that he will move to Queensland and join the Brisbane Broncos on a three-year deal worth $2.1m.

The Broncos contract offer is believed to be worth $350,000 more over three seasons, than what the Sharks were offering.

Bird, who won last year’s premiership at centre, made the decision before training this morning after also weighing up a multi-million dollar offer from the Newcastle Knights.

However, the 22-year-old advised his management to inform Knights officials that he would be declining their offer to join the Broncos.

Bringing the prolonged contract negotiations to an end, Bird has been adamant that the lure of playing five-eighth at the Broncos would be a major factor in his decision.

How Bird adjusts to playing five-eighth alongside unorthodox Broncos halfback Anthony Milford is considered a major gamble by some experts and will become a major talking point ahead of the 2018 season.

The premiers were preparing for the NSW Origin utility’s departure and have drawn-up a hit list of targets for which they will now use the salary cap money they had reserved for Bird to sign a marquee outside back.

Happy for the bloke but didnt barbs warn him about old man Bennett - feel for Newcastle - until they have 2 sides in Brisbane there will never be a even playing field

Life goes on Greggy....at least he was fortunate enough to win a premiership at the Sharks.....pretty unlikely to get one at the Donkeys in the near future. Good luck to the kid.

Tis a joke. Can cop Newy, but the broncos? Where is he going to play?

Ah well, you're always welcome back if it doesn't work out Jacky boy. So long as the Broncs pick up the tab.
