Blake Austin is a better 5/8 than Anthony Milford & Mitchell Moses

Can't believe this is still going. Since it's beginning Milford has surpassed Austin, Austin despite the odd hick up has been playing great, Moses has been the opposite, had a handful of great games mixed in with a heap of ordinary games. Take Tedesco out of the Tigers team and would they even have a win this year?

A worm the Tigers should sign and then release to become a better player than Moses at another club

LOL Moses could win the dally m and youd still say he is shit. Then you clutch at straws and say brooks was good when he was completely diabolical.

Over the last 4 weeks Moses has been good. A lot of the time tedesco gets space is because of him. I wouldnt be commenting on his defense after we ran straight through Blake for 2 tries.

Austin is no doubt talented but has continually failed to come up with a clutch play when he's team need it. Sure he's good for some flashy tries against Newcastle and penrith nsw cup team. But against any semi decent team he gets shown as the one trick pony he is.

Now the tigers are only 1 win away from the raiders and with the draw we have are a good chance of finishing ahead of them. Another chance for Mitch to finish on top of Blake, like he will for the rest of his career.

Yeah but Moses is never going to win the Dally M, nor anything in his career. He's just not first grade standard. Clutching at straws? lol how? Brooks produced try scoring opportunities, Moses didn't.

Moses & Brooks appear on Sterlo's show. Sterlo asks Moses about the shittyness of his defence. Moses "yeah there were a couple of games (lol) where I felt like I didn't defend well. But yeah I've got Kyle Lovett (Whare is lol'in) helping me so it's all good"...lol

Both Austin and Milford are good but limited players who need a 7 to run the show and do almost all of the kicking. Moses hasn't shown anything at all

It's clear that Canberra relies on Austin to play well and when he doesn't, they don't. Sign of a good player.

I think with Sezer coming, Wighton being another year wiser at the back and Hodgson at hooker I think that will be less true in 2016.

The more Austin and Milford are left to play what's in front of them the better they are. Milford's passing game is coming along really nicely as is his short kicking game all be it a little slower than his passing game. Haven't seen a lot of Austin and can only really go on listening to the Radio commentary so won't comment as it probably won't do his form and improvement this year justice.

Neither Milford's or Austin's running games could be questioned, probably two of the best in the game or close to it.

Hodgson is clearly our best player and he actually played 80 minutes last night which is good news.

But you are right kiwi hopefully we will be less dependent on Austin next year. The worry is that I don't think we will keep wighton long term.

Williams was shocking. Dropped balls and poor passing. His kick game was also way off.

Austin was similar. Looked like he wanted to carve up but just forced it too much.

What makes you say that? From what I can see Stuart seems to have the team going in the right direction, would like to think they could start holding on to guys like Wighton, Boyd, Vaughan, Papali, etc long term.

Plus probably not the topic for it but gonna ask anyway, is there any logic to Vaughan and Boyd starting from the bench? they are absolute beasts.

He has shuffled around the props a lot. Shillington despite his boneheaded errors over the last few weeks just makes metres for fun. He is probably a good option for starting

Why do I say that about wighton. Just a feeling. He actually posted on Facebook that he wanted to leave Canberra but claims he was "hacked". Stuart somehow managed to re-sign him after the fact (he was hacked during the furner crises)

It's about balance, we had FPN and Boyd coming on to replace Shillington and Vaughan, and it didnt work, we had two high work rate players coming off replaced by impact players and we started losing the forward battle when FPN and Boyd came on.

So Stuart, quite rightly decided he needed to have the pairings change so that we can have one of Shillington or Vaughan on the park at all times to keep the go forward rolling.

how much of a sped was austin last night? killed their chances of winning by trying to kick a ball instead of picking it up and strolling over the line. He even had support players ffs.

Blake Austin should be kicked out of the comp.

Based on a single poor performance? Yes, that's the sort of selection process that should be in place.

As a neutral, without a hard on for any particular player, I ask myself who of those named would I want at my club. Based on performances this year to date, I think Austin offers more as a footballer.
That doesn't mean that either Milford or Moses are necessarily shit, or that they won't develop into something. Each demonstrates something special at different times, Milf more so this year. Without the benefit of a crystal ball and based purely on performances this year to date, I'd have Austin. The trick is in knowing who will grow more as a player.

Jack Bird is up there and he poses a good kicking game as well.
