Yeah i like Cordner a lot as a player but he's not performed at SOO level yet. Probably time he was replaced, Frizell to me deserves a shot.

Klemmer had 2-3 good hit ups, that's it. I think we need better than that off the bench tbh.

He was the best front rower on the park in second half. The entire nsw pack tired and QLD were on top yet he still played quite well. the problem was Daley's management of the bench. He played tamou and woods for over 30 minutes in the 1st half and when they came on in the second they were already burnt out. Amateur mistake by Laurie, was mind boggling considering they had 3 props on bench and one didn't even get much of a run.

although we never managed to win field position for cordner to do his thing (how many sets on qld's 20 did we have in the 2nd half?) he did manage to take the 2nd/3rd tackle on 2-3 occasions and bend the line, something other than our props, our backrowers were unable to do in the middle third.

ALOT of that blame I believe goes to jackson (and to a lesser degree merrin) for his lack of work rate, and just goes to show how much we really did miss Gall. won't be a problem in game 2

I like Frizell and Tariq Sims, but honestly where would they play? Scott and Hoffman are both 80 minute players, what would we do with them?

Laurie seems like a decent motivater but he isn't much of a coach. We will get rolled in Melbourne I think.

even to come on for 20 minutes in place of hoffman, they would aim up on tackle 3/4 to help out the middle forwards. that's what we need. blokes that will make a difference no matter the circumstance

I take the point on Daley's use of the interchange bench, but i dont agree Klemmer was the best front rower on the park in the 2nd half. He has absolute no impact at all.

He's a talented player, i think he's been picked before he's ready and i think that was shown last night. We need front rowers coming off the bench who can back up the efforts put forward by Tamou and Woods, we didnt get that at all this game. Klemmer was part of the reason for that.

agreed on Tariq Sims too, had forgotten about him, he or Frizell need to come in as an edge weapon over Cordner imo

Klemmer had a good impact imo, he was the best of our bench players easily. When he came he had no one going with him so no roll was started.

I agree, I think Klemmer showed some glimpses of what we can do at this level, and he has the potential to be a big part of the side for years to come. Cordner's not up to it, and Frizzell needs to be in the 17 somewhere.

I thought Fifita would come good in the second half but he was a deadset slug all night. Slow, inffective hit-ups and definitely not the dynamic impact I thought he would have-I thought he'd be the pick of a good bench. Merrin quiet as well.

Just such a disappointing loss. Not surprising, because this is the dumbest football team on the planet and has zero killer instinct.. but disappointing nonetheless.

Yeah I agree with all this. Frizzell should of been ahead of both Cordner and Jackson, though I like Jackson. Even with Gallen coming back I think you gotta go with Frizzell or Lewis over Cordner and Jackson. Merrin and Fifita were disappointing, fifita in particular I was expecting a big game from, I hope they will turn it around game 2.

Yeah, the bench was disappointing. As said above, Klemmer showed promise, the rest were quiet/average.

Who we going with as Hooker if Farah is out? Do they pick someone young and promising (honestly don't know who you'd pick) or do they go back to old faithful in Ennis?

I posted the list of eligible hookers above.

He made 1 meter less then Tamou in half as much time. What else would you want from the guy? The QLD forward pack was already on top while Tamou and Woods were still on, they were tired. When Klemmer came on he was the one guy who was taking them forward even with the slow play of the ball. Klemmer was basically going forward from a stop start.

If Gallen takes Jacksons starting spot the bench should be Klemmer Fifita Merrin Frizzell/Lewis

id be happy with this. still disappointed about the game, 2nd half was so poor.

would be nice if bmoz Mansour fergo or someone else is back to take toops spot.
