big hit!

I do or I wouldn't have said it. I think it would be great to know his form is being noticed by Shnoz.

fair enough. my issue is that they're no chance to make the field as they're not allowed to so I find it pointless them pointless. A lot of the cases, they're not selected when the can be.

perhaps a change should be made where they select an expanded squad like they do in football tournaments. pick 19 players and have 6 on the bench, but 2 don't make the field. that way replacements can be made based on the progress in the game. would probably need stand alone origins though. but at least there's some value to these 18th and 19th players.

Adam Reynolds has already shown enough to warrant selection. If he's in decent form next year or leading into game 3, i'd pick him.

he's played well managing within the souths structure. I don't think he's yet to take it consistently to an origin level. if NSW lose, he could find himself in game 3 though for a precursor to next year. same as Austin on the left for hodkinson. they could compliment each other - one has a kicking game, the other takes on the line. ideally at this level though, you need two halves that are elite at both and solid in defence. there has been a dearth of halves in NSW since Johns retired that have all 3 attributes. that's the reason for the revolving door.

I think he could. He's done everything that's asked of him so far. He's by far the most important player at Souths, without him they're not nearly as good. He's a player who does the little things right and is solid all around. Kind of like Cronk. He does lack a running game but that's because his style of play is different. If you want a right side half who could run, you'd go with Jack Bird or Moylan, but neither have the experience ATM and there kicking game isn't nearly as good as Reynolds.

all this rubbish about niggle has me fearing a copy of game 2 last year, the worst game ever!

It all distracts from the fact NSW played the whole game through the forwards with one out hitups and little energy. You can't win if you play not to lose, use the football ffs, not niggle & wrestling bs!

Who the f**k cares about 19th men. Many players have been 18th and 19th men and never end up seeing the origin field for the rest of their career.

Chris Houston and Joey Leilua have both been 18th men before

I really hope the curse doesnt rub off on Sims

How do James Roberts and David Mead not get considered when we have nuffies like Tupou and Hopoate in game 1? Not to mention how noone really takes Sezer seriously as am option despite selecting Plodkinson and Puss.

Is it out of sight, out of mind for Titans players?

Pretty much. Observe the instant reaction from a couple of dickheads in here when I suggested Sezer.

Not me .
A combo of Austin & Sezer is infinitely more worrying than the two no hopers running out Wed night .
They would be Nsw's answer to JT & Cronk .

Sezer is a lot like Cronk ,cool calm a fantastic kicking game ,& good defender .
Austin is like Jt ,brilliant ,unpredictable ,plays on instinct .

At least those pair would get a repeat set .

I think Tariq was named 18th man a few years ago and then snapped his leg the same night?

He may have already copped the curse.

Roberts is exciting to watch but he may be overwhelmed at origin level. He was destroyed by Jarrod Croker in city vs country. Hate to see what Inglis would do to him. Also I'm unsure of his ability to take bombs on the wing.
