In reality, Leichhardt is just as shit as Brookvale, but bagging Leichhardt is like shooting Bambi.

Nostalgia trip. I doubt people would put up with Leichardt 10 times a year.

But yeah, fair call. There's nothing good about Brookie besides the history of the place and the atmosphere when it's heaving.

I might be biased but I think Brookie is one of the best to watch a game at. Close to the action and great atmosphere with a big crowd but as someone said above the facilities are 3rd world, location is a pain unless you live in the area and is a nightmare in wet weather. It obviously needs upgrading. I dislike ANZ, the location and the fact it needs a big crowd to get a good atmosphere. Much prefer the SFS. Never been to Suncorp but have only heard good things, everyone I know that has been rates it no1.

Went to the Battle of Brookevale, and the place was insane. Full strength beer and vocal fans, what else is there? The seats are the same, the screen is the same, so the only thing to seperate it from other stadiums is the atmosphere, and it paid in spades.

Probably not the same week-in, week-out, but damn, it was great that night.

In terms of facilities and view of the action, I can't split the SFS and Suncorp. Suncorp's only problem is the fun Police and the fact Broncos fans need to be reminded via big screen by Sam Thaiday that cheering for their team may help in a tight situation...

Best ground for old school charm? Leichardt hands down!

Brookvaledump deserves the pasting it's got. Overpriced entry and a shit ground to get to from anywhere besides the North Shore or Northern Beaches, plus the people inside who have an undeserved superiority complex. Everytime I go there I feel compelled to watch the '97 Grand Final DVD when I get home to enjoy the sight of dejected Manly fans with that cockiness knocked out of them...

You not saying the stewards stop you shouting for your team do you because if that's the case you should set up a petition about this weekend cops as to me they are killing the match experience.

Yeah it's a bit skewed based on the number of Sydney supporters. I've been to every ground except for DFS and Suncorp and from a facilities/view of field aspect, AAMI Park is the best.

I agree with Brookvale being the worst. However looking at DFS on TV it looks like shite too.

How the f**k is Brookvale worse than Shark Park? That is an unadulterated dump when it comes to watching footy - if you want to see the game you've got to pay twice - once to get in and then again to get a seat. If you stand, you're stuck in a corner or behind a goal on a flat piece of ground with no elevation. At least at Brookvale you can SEE whats happening on the pitch without having to fork out again for a seat.

SFS is the best Sydney has and more people voted for ANZ  f**king toerags.

Skilled, AAMI & Energy Australia are all far better than ANZ and Woollongong looks like it would be streets ahead too.

Maybe people voted for Campbelltown as the worst due to the treatment they got from Magpies fans?
Every time I go there, d**kheads throw beer at me and treat me (and other opposition fans) like absolute garbage.

Hate going there for that reason alone.

Why does Leichhardt receive the love it always gets? I just don't understand! The place is a dump and I'd put it second on my worst list (behind Brooky of course) way before any others.

Full strength beer bro. Tinnieeees

 taking the piss surely. Objectively, Leichhardt is the 2nd worst ground in the NRL. It's only grandstand could collapse at any moment! That said, I'm not a hill hater, and for GA tickets there's not much splitting Leichhardt, Brookvale, Shark Park, and Wollongong.

All except Leichhardt have decent but pricey stands. Shark park's hills lack decent elevation. Leichhardt has full strength beer, not sure on Brookie and Sharks, Wollongong is watered down piss.

The worst ground in the NRL is the only suburban ground that's a f**king oval. Kogarah. The place should be burned to the ground.

lol @ those knocking Leichhardt.

Top 5 :D

On AAMI, it's a shame more people don't make the trek down to Melbourne, hopefully with a nearly fixed schedule from next year more people will make the journey. Fantastic place to watch the game, very very few bad seats in the place.

Anyone voting for Campbelltown probably hasn't been there. Great to watch the Footy at.

Possibly the travel, if not a local obviously it's a fair way out.

Otherwise, once there you are right. JV has two excellent grounds to build themselves out of when you include the nostalgia of Leichhardt.

Get the 20's down to Campbelltown full time, increase the number of games from the ridiculously low total now, and the stadium itself gives the club a great avenue to build itself.

In reality though, it's 5%, the next two were 5 & 4, I'd be suprised if some of the others weren't close to a similar percentage too.

This!

Energy Australia is my favorite regular season ground in the comp. Beautifully redeveloped.

Skilled and AAMI are both modern and unlike ANZ offer decent viewing.

Wollongong is still a bit ramshackle but has plenty of character and the viewing experience from the top tier of the new stand is 2nd to no ground in the league.

I went to Brooky last year to watch the game when Manly pipped us on the bell, i had a great time. I really liked watching the game there. The pissed Manly fans added to the atmosphere.
