Brookies a great place to watch the footy for many reasons. It's also a shithole when it comes to amenities. Rather be at Brookvale watching a game than ANZ.

Shark Park is the worst, by a mile. Don't understand how it hasn't even made the top five..

Bumble. May I suggest some possible reasons

1. Only Sharks fans are stupid enough to venture to the Shire, so most people didn't vote for it out of genuine ignorance

2. People have indeed been to the Shire, but the experience was so horrid they have wiped it from their memory banks

3. Talk of relocating the sharks has happened so often the voters must have thought they had left already

Insert your,own reason below

How the f**k is Brookvale worse than Shark Park? That is an unadulterated dump when it comes to watching footy - if you want to see the game you've got to pay twice - once to get in and then again to get a seat. If you stand, you're stuck in a corner or behind a goal on a flat piece of ground with no elevation. At least at Brookvale you can SEE whats happening on the pitch without having to fork out again for a seat.

What the hell are you talking about? Pay twice?

If you want to stand there is a massive hill on the North End, not to mention two hills next to Peter Burns that are well elevated too.

SFS is the best Sydney has and more people voted for ANZ  f**king toerags.

Agreed, but then again 26% voted ANZ the worst ground. To me this shows the sentiment far outweighs those that rate it the best.

Skilled, AAMI & Energy Australia are all far better than ANZ and Woollongong looks like it would be streets ahead too.

AAMI Stadium is fantastic. Modern, well-covered, great views, lots of facilities, great access...

Wish there were a couple of these stadiums in Sydney.

Anyway I think it's indicative that most of the voters are going off what they see on TV. Bluetongue is a terrific looking ground on TV (yeah they're just palm trees, but they look cool), and a full Leichardt looks like awesome fun. The Sharks never reaching FTA explains the lack of Shark Park, Brookvale being on TV every other week explains why it makes the list.

Meh, it's just a giggle anyway. The best ground in the game is Penrith Park and always will be.

Bluetongue first??

ANZ 2nd least favourite but 3rd favourite at the same time??

Wat....
You realise they were two different questions (i.e. not mutually exclusive). Pretty obvious, one would have thought.
lol at the list, seems most fans have never been to games outside NSW.
Given that the RLW sells more copies in NSW than anywhere else, of course there's going to be skewed results FFS. Don't act like it's some pro-NSW conspiracy - it's just sheer weight of numbers.

Surely AAMI and Suncorp would have to be top two? Granted I haven't been to many of the others but it's hard to beat modern, clean facilities with excellent sightlines and (sorry NSW fans) a decent location.

My only criticism of AAMI is that the screens are tiny. Watch a replay and the players are bigger on the field than on the screen.

What exactly does "a decent location" mean?

If it's just a glib insult based on the fact "we're in NSW", show yourself out, idiot.

Went to Brookie for the Dogs game with a few Manly mates and it was a great night. Yes, the amenities are no good but what I found strange was the amount of people that think the hill is a picnic area regardless of the crowd numbers.

We got there for the start of the 20s with 50 people along the hill and were asked to move by the picnic goers who had lawn chairs placed behind a massive rug. Once 1sts started it was packed and you would trip over those people and their outdoor lounge room. I suppose it did pack us in to a tighter area and made the atmosphere but still. Felt like I was back up the coast watching group 2 with my Nan.

In defence of Shark Park it is not THAT bad a stadium. I went to the Sharks v Panthers match this year and paid $35 to sit on the 40m line in the Peter Burns stand. Bloody good view, nice and high and quite close.

I have stood at the southern hill a few times before the stand was built and it was not too bad, no worse than the south end at Penrith. I have not sat at the North end at Cronulla so cant comment there. I would not put Cronulla as the best ground far from it, but it is far from the worst

Calm down, not a dig at NSW. I was referring to the positioning of the stadiums in relation to public transport and the CBD.

I've never ever had an issue accessing ANZ by car, bus or train, in over 100 games I've attended there. Not even on Grand Final day.

CBD is irrelevant in Sydney btw - at least compared to other cities like Brisbane.

ANZ has its faults no doubt, but getting to and from the stadium isnt one. At the smaller games there is plenty of parking and the traffic isnt too bad and for the blockbusters they run free transport from all over Sydney so its a cinch.

Anyone know the sample size on this poll? Given the limited number of games played up there, I find it hard to believe enough people have actually been there to vote it as the best ground.

As with most of these typed of polls, voters tend to rate viewing position/atmosphere over amenities and services.
