The administrator is getting an awful lot of undue flack to be perfectly honest.
Its all deserved...our highly skilled administrator admitted to the fans meeting that he had NFI about any of the figures and, in the next breath, proudly announced he had just sacked (his words) 15 members of staff ....then theres the whole not quite understanding how to use a phone thing.

Im hoping the fella was just having a bad day and is in reality very skilled at what he does ....unfortunately it may take losing my club to find out.

lol i mean having 6 points taken off them is pointless...
..just checking :)

Dunno, I think it may be an indication the RFL expect the Bulls to get to the end of the season....no point altering the official record now, only to write expunged over everthing nxt week.

like i said elswhere...the RFL won't let bradford fail

http://www.superleague.co.uk/article/25815/super-league-europe-ltd-statement

Super League (Europe) Ltd has taken decisive action to secure the future of Bradford Bulls by tabling an offer to purchase the club from the official administrator on behalf of the Super League clubs.

The bold offer was submitted to the administrator last night after Super League Chief Executive Nigel Wood and the Super League clubs put together an innovative rescue package.

SLE now believes the offer represents the best solution to a problem that is threatening the survival of one of Rugby League’s most celebrated clubs and which remains the source of considerable uncertainty and disquiet across the whole sport.

Wood said: “This saga has gone on for far too long and we are of the view that direct positive action is required to safeguard the future of Bradford Bulls.

“The club has been in administration for five weeks now and during that time not one single offer without strings attached has been submitted to the administrator.

“This situation is clearly unacceptable and raises the tangible prospect that we could lose one of our most famous clubs, which would be a tragedy of significant proportions, not just to the sport and the city of Bradford but to the remaining staff, players and volunteers who all deserve some stability after the turmoil of recent events.

“It is to the credit of the Super League clubs that they have given their unanimous support to this move and are not prepared to stand idly by and see Bradford Bulls disappear.

“The time has come for strong and decisive leadership and this course of action, which is based on sound business principles, represents just that.

“Under the ownership of SLE, we can plot a course for Bradford Bulls which is in the best interests of the club, the competition and the wider game.

“If our offer is accepted, SLE will welcome approaches from all interested parties who have an interest in helping us secure a bright future for professional Rugby League in Bradford.”

Super League officials are meeting the Bradford Bulls players, coaches and club staff this afternoon to update them on developments.

Further details of how Bradford Bulls would operate under SLE ownership will be announced in due course following further dialogue with the club’s administrator

Interesting...

Similar to the NBA buying the New Orleans Hornets to secure a franshise in that city post Katrina.

Unchartered territory though certainly...

like i've said on RLFANS....if this is just a short term thing so the RFL/SLE have time to find a suitable buyer without the pressure of a looming deadline then im fine with it.........but they have too sell it on...they can't own it long term...it's not right

Interestingly in the NBA case with regard to one of that teams best players;

Once the NBA resumed operations after the 2011 lockout, the Hornets, now owned by the NBA after acquiring the financially strapped team from George Shinn during the 2010?11 season, actively pursued trading Paul. He would be eligible to opt-out of his contract and sign elsewhere following the 2011?12 season. As a result, the Hornets did not want to risk losing Paul without getting equitable compensation in return.[36] On the afternoon of December 8, 2011, the day before the 2011 NBA lockout ended and players could move between teams, the Hornets, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets agreed to a trade that would send Paul to the Lakers. That night, after other team owners voiced their opposition, league commissioner David Stern nullified the trade.[37] Following a week of contentious trade talks with various teams, Paul was eventually traded to Los Angeles, but this time, to the Clippers rather than the Lakers.
[edit]

That kind of interference possible here? Who will run the operations and have power of veto ect.

It brings up all sorts of possibilities and bones of contention, not least Odsal. Weren't there several investors who demanded that as part of any investment? The RFL need to realise some value on that, probably a big reason why they've made this move, they can't allow their only possible tenant to go under and the "asset" to be a complete burden on them.

Not alone to that and the major issues of competition that would emerge, but the longer this goes on the harder it will be for them to ship Bradford without putting major funds into Odsal.

Very risky all around, but clearly they've looked around at the bottom line from individual club to the RFL itself and gone for this.

Thats how I see it tbh..The Gary Hetherington statement seems to back that pov as well - A short term fix to allow more time to find responsible investors/ owners for the Bulls which also guarentees the Bulls will get to the end of the season.
Remember, Guilfoyle still has to accept the offer.

Teh Bulls have new owners:D:

Taken from : Administration confirms Bradford Bulls sold and saved:

Administrator of Bradford Bulls, Brendan Guilfoyle, has confirmed the sale of the business and assets of Bradford Bulls Holdings Limited.

The business has been sold to OK Bulls Limited for an undisclosed sum, completing a rescue of the Super League club and saving 158 jobs.

The deal was completed earlier today, Thursday August 31, following the club entering administration earlier this year on June 26.

The sole director of OK Bulls Limited is Omar Khan, a leading businessman who owns the award-winning Bradford restaurants and catering business under his own name. Gerry Sutcliffe MP for Bradford South is also involved with the business and headed up the consortium.

If they are allowed to stay in SL just because of their name and their recent history then the integrity of the game is compromised in my opinion. It will show the licence system to be just a boys' club for the ones on the inside. By the way joe, Hull aren't a very good side they are a very average side. ;-)
