Bradford Bulls went into administration and faced 'extinction'

Woah, the RFL are willing to advance 200k on the slim chance they are saved in the long term.:? Plenty were pissed when they used Odsal to wipe out their RFL debt but this could be money down the drain.

Very sad that Potter and his wife are being let go. Jeez that must be tough, at least he should find work in the sport quick enough.

If Bradford fold then they fold. I feel sorry for the fans but these things happen in professional sport. They aren't the first and they won't be the last.

This^^^.
Ima deluded and disillusioned Bradford supporter but I still believe the club will be bought out of administration and face the maximum points deduction....However, IF the current Bradford entity is liquidated then any new club should start in the Championships, Im not sure where the earlier posts regarding a 'one year' punishment come from..other then gutts desire for revenge following a remark about th London club by Chris Caisley six years ago..

Just reading that the impartial adminstrator cancelled his meeting with the players this morning...curiouser and curiouser..

Aye, some pretty shameful stuff going on at the moment. I wonder why the independent administrator didnt see the need to comunicate properly with the players....after the revelations at last nights fan meeting maybe us Bulls fans should club together and buy the fella a mobile phone with voicemail...

JD..I have no issue with the bulls fans...Caisley is going to pick up the pieces and him, I do have an issue with.

The main flaw in your statement being the assumption there will be pieces left to pick up of course....

I understand and maybes even share your concern about some of the players and Trust me, after harrisgate and a few other things which have come to light more recently, Im not out to defend Chris Caisley or any of the actions of the main shareholders for that matter...you?ve read and heard the same things I have, prolly more.

But IF (and its a big IF) someone is out there with both external investment and an actual business plan to improve and secure Bradfords future(maybe even past th year 2014)....that would be positive for the game as a whole, right?

Unconfirmed rumour suggests Gary Tasker is on his way back....

The competent Administrator explains his reasons for messing the players around earlier this morning:
“I had convened a meeting with the players for today (Tuesday). Late last night I decided to cancel it as I had no update for the players and told them to have a day off.
“Unfortunately, it was too late for the message to get through by the time we contacted the captain, the players representatives and their solicitors.
Looks like his new phone will need twitter, facebook and email settings as well as a voicemail facility...

Some however, believe the meeting was cancelled due to Brian Noble deciding to reconsider his offer to help the Bulls following fans meeting last night:
Brians interview: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/jul/03/brian-noble-bradford-bulls

Soon to disappear vid of our proficient Adminsitrator: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPduTGrT_Bk&feature=plcp
15(ish) seconds in you will hear our most able administrator tell the assembled group that Potter was sacked because he could get another coach cheaper.....

...it may make perfect financial sense but those comments are partly why ppl were upset last night...I believe Mick Potter was in the room.

If the London game goes ahead...the guys will could prolly do with a coach(and stewards, turnstile operators, first aiders etc for that matter).

If MP and FC feel unable (and who could blame him after that vid) then having someone who has sweat, bled and broken bones for our club in their corner and on our side could be very handy.

Edit: Also from code13:
I am sure the passion and tangible support offered by fans will play a significant part in any rescue. It has already had an effect. One businessman who had rejected any involvement rang me after the meeting and said he had changed his mind. “He has now asked to look at the numbers, based on the loyalty and support shown by fans.

Under 18's Bradford v London game that was to be played at Aldershot has been called off......not sure about the U20's at Odslum prior to the main game.

Have to say, whilst the administrator does seem a tad, disorganised, he has gone on record as saying he didn't want the gig. Without doubt, the loss of a club like Bradford from SL would be a blow to the game, but no club is bigger than the game itself and I believe that if the worst was to happen, then Bradford would return eventually.....the problem is, as Stevo has said on Sky TV tonight, it's hard to find investors for a club, especially if there's no assurances that SL rugby will be on the table next year.

On one ofthe vids from the fans meeting our very capable administrator suggested the SL game would def go ahead and pls bring cash in brown envelopes(tho season ticks will be honoured)...not really surprised about the junior games.

 Surprisingly you're the first person to mention that...in the last half hour anyway.

Lol, keep holding onto that dream gutts...

This is all very sad.

Nothing short of a Russell Crowe walking on in will save the joint long-term now, methinks.

The administrator is getting an awful lot of undue flack to be perfectly honest. I couldn't think of a worse job.:(

How about a nice new stadium and new team playing out of a nice place like York.
Bradford is a lost hole now and it ain't going to get better.
I wonder if George Galloway can not use some his middle eastern tie's to like Hama's to buy out the club.
