I'd rather Lasalo or Uaisele at centre. tbh.

But Frog would be a good addition in the back-row imo.

If Froggy wants to come back and he comes at the right price and with the right attitude I would welcome him back with open arms.

He can play, no doubt about it.

Everyone would have said NO NO NO to McKinnon too before coming back from Souths.....

While we're at it. Why don't we sign Kenny for 5/8th. Price for Lock. Dean Pay for front row. Ronald Prince for fullback. Lee something for utility. Bloody hell, we must be the only club stuck in the past ffs.

he'd probably be our 2nd best prop at the moment. ;-)

lol this really made me laugh. I'd like the whole team from the 86 GF (but with one addition- Hindy). Now that is a team!

I for one didn't want him to leave, tbh. If we were replacing Ben Smith, I'd take him without too much hesitation. A similar player, big and strong and a heavy defender but he has more pace and better ball skills than Benny. People have always called him slow; I don't see it personally. He's not a small guy and as such, takes a few metres to get going but once he does he's something like a runaway train...deceptively fast and hard to stop. But I don't think we could have both him and Benny.

I also don't understand people saying threads and ideas like this are 'living in the past'. Why should ex-Eels be off limits, especially if they've become better players than when they left? Delaney has become a very good player...we can't pack our side with superstars.

But hey, if that's living in the past, I'm sure glad we never brought back Ian Hindmarsh, or Chad Robinson, or PJ Marsh :sarcasm:

I was never a fan when he was at Parra, but he has improved out of sight since he has been at the Tits. But really the backs are not our problem, a halfback,Prop and back rower is what we need.

He doesn't really have acceleration which I think is more important than having a high top speed.

As a back, he wouldn't add that much to our team.
As a forward, we might as well try to sign a forward who plays in the forwards.

Wow! You took the words right out of my mouth - all of them!
Delaney just started to hit his straps as Jason Taylor took over the Eels; but Brian Smith had already let him go. I think he`s maybe the most under-rated centre in the game. Be a far better buy than Tahu. Trouble is we desperately need forwards and probably a half/ five-eight. Otherwise I`d jump at him. On current form, he`s better than Inu, better than Burt, better than Smith and - dare I say it? - better than Hayne. I`d have him in a flash.

Delaney is a quality player but if we are working with limited resources next season surely we would be targetting mostly front rowers and possible a half back.

Id be more inclined to recruit forwards and blood young backs then recruit backs and blood forwards.
