Brett Finch quits Eels...

Smith STILL can't handle it...The difference is Brett Finch could play...Smith has no ticker, or from what I can understand style or dignity, judging by what has been posted on the Wigan Warriors fans forum.
I don't care who they are...or what their standing is in the game. If they don't respect themselves, how can we expect the traditions of the game or their Club mates.
I put Todd Carney and Tim Smith in the same category..with one difference Todd Carney could play the game.
Really, they are both empty heads.
See the last post on the first page of this link concerning alleged behaviour of a bloke people on this forum are calling for his return. Is he really the messiah those people want. Would you be pleased to have him parade his stuff in front of the Club's female followers?

But wait, maybe my standards are a little bit higher than others. 'Things are different today, I hear every mother say'.
Maybe the females like being around blokes like Tim?
Maybe I'm the one going left right left right, when everyone else is going right, left, right left.
Why oh why am I back on this forum......get away you silly old goat!!!!!

Your mate is a quitter!! The worst kind possible, So much for heart and passion hahaha

You chastised Tim Smith for being a quitter but say nothing about Finch when he has done the same thing. I also think you must have been watching different games when you say Tim Smith couldn't play because he certainly had ability. Alot more than Finch at the very least. It's no coincidence the two years we challenged for the title were with Tim Smith in the side.

Also your link to the Wigan forum doesn't work.

I can't recall chastising Smith for being a quitter...Sorry. Have any proof. Not saying I didn't just can recall it.
and both times we lost in the final he had a shocker..couldn't handle the rise in class....because that's what the kid lacks CLASS both on and off the paddock.

I don't rate Smith as a player or , from what I have READ about him as a person either.
To me, being a footballer of any standard means upholding the integrity of the game, as well as giving your best at ALL TIMES. But I'm probably old fashioned.

This is our chance people, to pounce and bring a half of special breeding to Parra, if we don't have a serious shot at Wade Graham, then I will consider our coaching staff to have made their first real snafu since Andos appointment. This kid is a star in the making. I don't care if Penrith have reconsidered, and are now waxing lyrical about him, we need to show him the money.

Issue is he is under contract until the end of 2010.

Are you sure Colonel, cause I am sure I read something somewhere that he was off contract at the end of 09, not sure where though.

pretty sure it's 2010..he asked for a release but his own clubed knocked that on the head very quickly.

Fair enough Staggs, but maybe he was seeking a release from the remainder of his 2009 and final year, but I am not sure.

Well then, who knows the NRL's position on signing up a player a year and a half out. Is there a law against it? Does anyone know, cause I feel that this kid is worth it. He really knows how to spark up a backline, and he is so young.

What astounded me is that Finch stood himself down for this weeks game pending his release. Apparently because of the pressure and his current state of mind. Meanwhile Hindmarsh plays on despite his son being in hospital due to a potentially fatal illness.

We know now who the true clubman are.

he wasn't playing this week

injured his shoulder
