while most of us rejoice at this decision, one thing we haven't considered is how much of Finch's contract will we be paying out? because it WILL count under the cap and thanks to Hagan we may well be paying him out until 2011....

1. He asked for the release. We should play hardball.
2. We are better off without him than with him.
3. If he plays for another club in the NRL it is even better - a double play in our favour. That could also give rise to a player swap. penrith are one club that could have some promising talent available for a swap ...

What astounded me is that Finch stood himself down for this weeks game pending his release. Apparently because of the pressure and his current state of mind. Meanwhile Hindmarsh plays on despite his son being in hospital due to a potentially fatal illness.

We know now who the true clubman are.

And he couldn't handle the pressure of living in a fishbowl?

But wants to continue in the NRL with another club?

1 that means nothing..
2 yes, but it still may cost us a young up and coming player..
3 want to make a bet??? Murphy would tell you that he'll have his best game of his career against us as many others have and other clubs have managed their roster better so that they leave a little bit to play with during the season. We obviously didn't do that.

I feel sad for Finchy, but I thought his booze comments last week were a good indicator of his mental state tbh. Probably not the kind of influence we need at the club atm.

It seriously pisses me off that Anderson had no chance to recruit in the off season.

All the best Finchy

Yeah, play hard ball with him.

If he expects us to pay a good portion of his contract, let him rot at wenty until he breaks.......

Assuming its Penrith that want him, we could ask for Wade Graham.

who says Penrith doesn't have room under the cap to for an extra player?..why would they want to release a player to benefit another NRL club?

1. Yes it does. If they have any degree of competence they would already be threatening to terminate his current contract for breach unless he accepts a full mutual release with no further payment. If they pay him a cent heads should roll.

2. How can it cost us another player? Even if we pay his contract out we can't be liable for any more than we would have been.

3. If he brings the same petulant attitude and lack of core skills to any other club he will be a major asset. How about we put one of those 6 packs you keep losing on it?:lol:

1 if..if...if

2 well let me see, if we're paying 50k of his contract for the next 2 and half seasons than that is 1 player in the fulltime squad that we're sacrifising.

3 care to remind me where i last lost a six pack?
