Finchy plays with more heart then most of the team, and thats WHY he blows up. He's that passionate.

Problem is, Jess...he's just not that good, sadly. He's not the kind of halfback who will take a side to a premiership, which is why I agree with the decision to let him go. As I said, it's never a pleasant way for a player to leave the club, but I think it'll work out better in the end for both parties...

Lol...hi jayjay :nwave: It's been quiet around here without you dribbling rabidly all over the carpets...

In answer to your question...KK and Mortimer are both better attacking options than Brett Finch. They may be young, but Anderson was already going to move Finch to 9/14 (reportedly) so think of it not as losing a halfback, but a utility. Finch's time was up, and it's for the best for both parties

If that's the case then why did he just roll over and die? If he was that passionate, wouldn't he say, "No way, DA - I have it in me. You watch! I'll show you!"

Instead he reportedly rolled over and said he'd leave for greener pastures.

And if its true that the club told him to go..?

Then, to be honest, I'm disappointed in both: Finchy, for not showing the spirt he's renowed for to fight back and earn his spot; and the club because clearly there was a better way to handle it.

I probably over-reacted. I'm just shocked that we're 5 Rounds into the season and everything is spiralling out of control already. It's not good.

Having said that, I thank Finchy for his time and efforts and wish him nothing but the best.

Spot on! A nice "harden the f#*k up" approach to all this!

Cayless, Cordoba, Burt are hopefully next to go.

Hopefully they'll bring in Mortimer of the bench this weekend, and start with KK & Mateo in the halves.

It's the perfect year for it...We're still carrying a lot of dead or disinterested wood and the side needs a rebuild. Give the young kids experience now, benefit next year and into the future.

Do the terms "Preston Campbell" and "Dally M Halfback Of The Year" mean anything?
