Finch is a pea-heart. So much for him having heart and passion - he whinges because he's sucking it up at halfback so much that the coach orders him to play hooker? Ffs what a pea-heart.

Tim Smith is not the answer and if we let Finch go only to sign Smith we've made a big mistake.

I used to be a big fan of Finchy's, even if his talent wasn't up to scratch. Now I hope he gets the hell out of my club so we can move on.

Bloody whinging git.

Without reading through the the whole thread....wow. Just...yeah, wow is all I've got.

Can't say I'm too upset...it's not nice to see a player leave like this but to be honest it's for the best for both parties. We can now find a real halfback for the next few years, and Finch can play in a competition that will suit him greatly IMO

id try to lure Monaghan back from the uk or Fein from the warriors, both can play half and are pretty good as well.

well everyone got there wish, how you dont live to regret his loss?

What loss? He's not Moimoi, Mateo or Hindmarsh. He's Brett bloody Finch - a guy who, I can't understand it now, gets by on a reputation of giving 100% and being passionate. He certainly showed it with his attitude now.

But the point is he's no loss.

Cant help but think what finch would have been like at hooker or off the bench.

Isn't that what started it all?

According to what I read on Fox Sports News Active an hour or so ago, he blew up when Anderson ordered him to hooker for the final 20 and Anderson wouldn't cop his crap, so Finch quit.

Finchy plays with more heart then most of the team, and thats WHY he blows up. He's that passionate.

If that's the case then why did he just roll over and die? If he was that passionate, wouldn't he say, "No way, DA - I have it in me. You watch! I'll show you!"

Instead he reportedly rolled over and said he'd leave for greener pastures.

I've been a fan of his since he arrived, but hearing how he just gave up really disillusioned me. I mean as someone else mentioned - Nathan Hindmarsh's son is in hospital with a horrible disease but he still shows up to play (a decision which I believe was incorrect; staff should have stood him down to spend time with his family imo). Finch is reportedly asked to leave/asks himself to leave (depending who you believe)...I'm disheartened. Specially in light of our uber-important match this week.
