Parramatta have released a statement that under no circumstances, will the Eels release Finch if he is going to sign for a club that will play against the Eels.

Hadley just said that the release is for ESL only. His mail is (meaning he spoke to his mate Fitzy, I guess) that under no circumstances will Finch be allowed to play NRL this year for another team.

EDIT: SNAP ! Suity ! :fist:

I wouldve thought theyd drop him to Wenty and then he would back to his form, but if wants out, see you later there's the door. He's been half the problem at Parramatta.

Hopefully we'll give Mortimer a go or use Keating more at halfback.

1 if..if...if

2 well let me see, if we're paying 50k of his contract for the next 2 and half seasons than that is 1 player in the fulltime squad that we're sacrifising.

3 care to remind me where i last lost a six pack?

1. Sure

2. Stagger - WTF -that is hardly losing a player becuase of him going. If he stayed we would be paying 1005 of his salary. Him going can only free up cash.

3. Didn't you lose one to Avenger when he tipped DA to be coaching before Hagan's contract expired? (And just because you didn't pay doesn't count. Plus there was the six pack you used to have during your playing career!

Would like to wish finchy all the best for the future.

He has been good for the club without setting the world on fire, but was he ever going to???

Would like to make one comment though that I don't think has been raised....
wouldn't Maloney be kicking himself now after Melbourne sold him a false promise of playing first grade this year and now Finchy moving on.

Would love James to come back to the Eels to see if he has what it takes at this level???

2 it will come under our sallary cap Biggy, do you not understand this?

3 aaaaahhh!! biggy, i knew you'd bring this up, unfortunately you're wrong my friend and my other mate Avenger (who almost had phone sex with me over Finch's decision this mornng) would vouch for this, the bet was that Hagan would not be paid out and he wasn't..he quit ;-)

holy sh*t!!! ... didn't see that coming ... will phil rothfield have nothing to reveal at 1pm now?

well - can't say I'm disappointed

but I must say - despite his deficiencies, Finchy has always put the effort into playing for us and he should be commended for that :thumn

No I would say that he will touch on other players like Mateo, Inu and Hayne, also having problems with the coach. No inside information, just a guess.

So the clean out begins under Daniel Anderson. We were never going to win a premiership with finch at half back. Time to bring back Tim Smith, like him or not we did make the finals each year he played and was one hell of a player. He is not playing his best in england and is being played out of position, he'll be looking for a return to the NRL.
Get him back here DA!

STAGGER YOUR A GENIUS MATE!

This news is as good as when i found out DA was going to be our coach.

Finch was on ridiculous money for what he was putting in for the team week in and out...

TIM SMITH COME HOME PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i wouldn't mind matthew head.........

I believe robson will come onto the bench incase KK fails so DA will replace him with Robson.

Smith will be coming home sooner rather than later. How ironic it would be if the Wigan Warriors signed Brett Finch to replace Tim Smith.
Jeff Robson will do the job for the Eels if given the chance, despite what Newmanj says..
but then again, that's just me..and we know what my opinion is worth on this forum. To quote Schultz. "I know nothing!"
BTW...I had a text message from Snoopy Collins after the Panthers rolled Wests on Saturday night. He said, 'we are looking forward to meeting your Eels, Parra" . I texted him back and told him we needed switch the half backs 'Finch for Sammut' to make it close. Was I being Nostradamus?

FROM WIGAN FANS FORUM (http://www.wiganwarriorsfans.com/wigan/?s=Viewtopic.3&o=551137)
I told you all many many weeks ago about Smith but yet again people where saying it is not right to post that he has problems, yip they where totally wrong again. That is why we are in this mess with him now, he should not be playing for Wigan and should not have been pulling a shirt on this season...

Smith had problems before he came to Wigan every one knows that, but we where told he is better now or nearly better... What a load of rubbish...

Ill tell you Smiths problems and no it is not any fancy name and no I don’t care about being politically correct because Im sick and tiered of that statement. Lets do what we did years ago and say it as it is....

Smith likes to party, he loves to get drunk on a regular basis and be the clown and yes he goes over the top. He has no self control....

That is what is wrong with Smith, plain and simple

Time for him to go back home!

And another....from the same forum

Simmy you should have told your mate to run at him, if he tackled your mate then there is no way it was tim smith.

FMD let's not go there. I posted a link last week from a Wigan forum and their fans are still talking about his drinking and treatment of his bipolar.

so why do we have "subject to settlement" line thrown at us?

If he wants to go someone we would expect money for the release. Sure we keep the contract under our cap, but the other side of the settlement would be for them to buy players for us under their cap.

Hey Parra Pete doesn't this make Brett Finch the same as Tim Smith in your eyes in that he couldn't handle it?

Smith STILL can't handle it...The difference is Brett Finch could play...Smith has no ticker, or from what I can understand style or dignity, judging by what has been posted on the Wigan Warriors fans forum.
I don't care who they are...or what their standing is in the game. If they don't respect themselves, how can we expect them to respect the traditions of the game or their Club mates.
I put Todd Carney and Tim Smith in the same category..with one difference Todd Carney could play the game.
Really, they are both empty heads.
See the last post on the first page of this link concerning alleged behaviour of a bloke people on this forum are calling for his return. Is he really the messiah those people want. Would you be pleased to have him parade his stuff in front of the Club's female followers?

But wait, maybe my standards are a little bit higher than others. 'Things are different today, I hear every mother say'.
Maybe the females like being around blokes like Tim?
Maybe I'm the one going left right left right, when everyone else is going right, left, right left.
Why oh why am I back on this forum......get away you silly old goat!!!!!
