Then he is very dumb not to have gotten a taxi straight home, like most sensible people would do after an 8 hour session. Especially those earning a fortune and in the public eye, knowing the risk of sullying the reputation of their employer and industry.

He did go home and that is the problem.

Because......................... :lol::lol::lol:
Obviously you dont know him as well as you think you do, best mates I am sure.

Because Stewart clearly fits the profile of someone likely to do this :crazy:

In all previous years of being under media scrutiny not one, tiny slip up. And then bam, this. If it was someone like Watmough who has a history of idiotic things, especially on the piss, I'd be much more inclined to believe it. But Stewart? He was on his way to becoming our next Menzies ffs.

'My comment related to putting himself in that position after god knows how many similar situations in the past. Complete idiot. Fuggin merkin.'

And how do you know he wasn't simply walking home, girl flirted with him, got rejected and then to save embarrassment cried wolf? Or hell, it could even be one of those situations where the family just want to try and milk Stewart and the media for money (such as the 12 year old boy in England being named the father to create a media frenzy and $$ for the families when he actually wasn't. And again in England where some family staged a phoney kidnapping of their daughter to try and replicate the McCann situation and gain money from that). There are idiots out there like that.

Straight home... with the girlfriend waiting out the front with the rolling pin.

You would think he would go home to this

Oh dear... mate, all of those are possible. But only equally possible as the option that Stewart may well have broken the law in the stairwell.

As a fan it's hard when someone in your team f**ks up. But you have to apply some critical analysis to the situation to.

Whether Stewart is even charged and/or is guilty of sexual assault,
1. he was dumb to get on the piss for 8 hours at/after the NRL season launch
2. he was dumb to enter the stairwell of an apartment block with a 17 year old girl

The guy has a lot to lose, being the "face of the NRL" and an apparent cleanskin - put simply, he should have known a lot better than putting himself in that situation. And that stands before we get into knowing/finding out exactly what that situation was, as police continue their enquiries, and Stewart has refused to talk.

Nobody does know, everyone is guessing....yes he is an unlikely candidate for this.
But when they catch serial killers, their neighbours often say "he was a normal bloke, quiet, kept to himself, totally out of character"
Goes both ways.

Manlyhave once again let down the NRL.

How many AVO's are Manly players on?? How come the NRL don't do anything about Manly..... Matai,Watmough and Stewart, We have to get these monkeys out of our game. Because we all know that Coach Hasler runs a tight ship as Pete Peters always has said.

^^ He probably didn't end up in an apartment stairwell with a 17 year old screaming and needing to be taken to hospital either...

Are you joking? Last off season was all about your team Parramatta's off field indiscretions. I didn't see you calling for the NRL to do something about Parramatta.

I had no idea you were a profiler

fair enough. agree to disagree trying to liken this to the 12 year old boy is laughable. Yes there are idiots out there like that, and stewart is one of them for putting himself in this situation.

If this story turns out to be a fallacy I would pursue someone for damages if I were Stewart.

I'd start with Channel 10 for calling me a rapist

Yes I heard Tim Webster read out the words "alleged rape".

I couldn't believe it. Rape wasn't mentioned once up until that point. It hasn't been mentioned since either.

How do the idiot journos who write these things get away with it? (Not having a go at Timmy, he was just reading the auto-cue)

If he is found guilty of the allegations, I hope the NRL taking legal action & sue him for damages re: cost of having the add pulled etc, etc. Fuggin merkin

If hes found not guilty, he'll be suing the media, in particular channel 10 for calling him a rapist...

Bottom line;

We do not know the facts
We do not know the situation
We do not know each party personally

Hence no judgement can be made , if your speaking from a legal point of view beyond unreasonable doubt , till then stop sh*tting on the Manly club , stop sh*tting on the media the girl or Stewart because we don't know the facts.

PS I think this forum has one too many mainstream sheep.
