I would opt for an earlier time (twilight)slot for the NZ market. That would also appease the parents whose kids aren’t up until really late and the millennials who could then go out after the GF and do whatever it is they do(probably posting d*ck pics & vajazzles or some sh*t like that).

That literally was the first time it's happened. So it would have been hard to copy.

I think that's been done the last few years but it's definitely a new initiative and it seems to work well with at least 20k staying back for the show this year.

Considering how much is made from ticket sales alone on the GF, the extra paid for the after game show would be easily covered.

If there's a 5pm start at the latest for NRL GF, you could have a 7:30 or 8pm show afterwards that many would stay back and enjoy, especially supporters on the winning team. Also depends on the act of course.
