Broncos chances in 2016

Cowboys won't go back to back. Thurston got his premiership and I can't see him being anywhere close too as hungry as he was, that mindset will trickle down through the team. Their forward pack is another year older with Matt Scott and Aussie Jim looking like they have less f**ks to give as each game goes by.

Roosters fans sound optimistic but they are definitely downplaying the quality of players they lost in the off season, still a great forward pack but I have no fears playing them next year.

Broncos or one last premiership for the holy trinity at the storm for 2016.

I reckon this is the year the Warriors will pull their heads out of their ass and dominate. With Cowboys winning 2015, they are one of 3 teams with a big 0 in their list of premierships. And despite the fact that the other teams are Titans (probably fold) and Sharks (cursed to remain premiershipless for their entire existance), they wont want to be one of the 2 to battle it out for Loser of the World.

Warriors > Broncos. They will go through the season undefeated and whollop of the Broncos in the preliminary finals - only to go down by 1 to the Dragons in the GF!:sarcasm:

Meh. Broncos had an awesome run with injuries in 2015 and could easily struggle to make the top 8 if they pick up a few key injuries for big periods of the season.

I have them top 4. But I think the Warriors with Luke and RTS will be the ones to beat. So long as they can keep them and Johnson fit.

Until I see our outside backs defend in 2016 I'm not buying any Warriors hype. No point having Luke, RTS, SJ do their thing if the dopes on the outside flounder and fall over in what appears to be an attempt at defense.

This exactly. (not a justification to put Ayshford in a first 17, which I've seen some people of questionable sanity do)

If they don't come in Top 2 they'll become a laughing stock with the roster they have.

Exaggeration there.

We don't have a single centre/wing that I would trust to do the job on both sides of the ball on a consistent basis. We have a great spine, a very good forward pack, but if there isn't substantial improvement in the ability and application of our outside backs in defense it will count for nothing and we'll still spend the majority of the season fighting it out for positions 6-10.

As long as they get to point at the cameras when they score the Warriors backs couldn't care less about defending

Congratulations Captain Obvious

You just summed up how every team will go with injuries to key players for big periods of time.

So 3 runner ups have gone on to win the next year in 18 years. 3/18.. in a 16 team comp.. couldn't be many previous year finishing positions that do better? Would actually be pretty interesting to see what finishing position tends to do best the next year.

Not sure why you are so riled up about a team being the favourites, kinda happens every year.

They have a 50% chance remember.

They either will or they won't win the comp.

While it's true that they either will or won't win the comp, that doesn't equal a 50% chance. Out of 16 teams, only 1 wins and 15 don't. Therefore, that would equate to a 1/16 or 6.25% chance. Then you have to account for variables like playing group, coaching staff, draw, injuries and likelihood of being disqualified for rotting the cap. Either way, much less than 50%.

Just saying...

When members start playing with percentages to decide a clubs chances of winning a comp, you know that side has a f**ktonne of chance to win it because they're being talked about.
