Wato - Titans are favoured to sign him if he doesn't stay.

Thanks I thought that was the likely location. Have you guys heard anything about Boyd requesting the knights to cover half his salary for next season? Barry Toohey is reporting that in the regional sport column in the tele.

Reports in the Courier Mail this morning suggest that they were working on a payout, but the Knights are pissed he went on a holiday during the season. So now they won't be giving him anything. He either leaves for what he can get elsewhere or plays out the final year of his contract.

We can just have Hodges, Barba, Milford, Hoffman, Maranta, Boyd & Eden all play as full back and just have a light forward pack swing it out the back when we need to score a try. Should work right?!

Eden is merely a depth signing.

Will be brought in as a utility player.

From all reports, was a dud in the ESL but had some deal of promise about him so the move could do him some good.

Maybe we are going to tape Hoffman, Milford, Barba and Eden all together to make GI MKII

Say hello to our new Fullback trainer/conditioner/creator

Release Hoffman and Kahu, slash a bit off Kennedy's value and upgrade Hunt and McG.

Next years squad:

1. Milford
2. Vidot
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Barba
7. Hunt
8. McG
9. McC
10. Kennedy
11. Gillett
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Oates
15. Hannant
16. Hala
17. Garbutt

Only contentious ones in there for mine are Hala and Maranta. Both need to step up and hard next year under Bennett, otherwise bye bye. If Maranta sucks, drop him for Marmin Barba. Hala for Wallace if he doesn't.

Given some time, Kahu can develop into a special player. I've seen him do a few things on the field that indicate the talent is there - just needs a crack.

Can't see Maranta improving any more. I believe he's playing to his physical capacity - which may keep his dad happy, but very few other people.

Until I hear Hoffman say something specifically before now and next year like, "I don't want to play wing", then we'd be fools to let him go.

WTF no Copely, rightio, the guy is only our leading try scorer right now and our best centre option outside of Hodges. Yeah lets dump him, I mean how dare he perform. Same with Glenn how dare he play well enough to be a far better option than Hala, Kennedy....

Did you even think before you put this list together?

Bad day at the office Kiwi?

I'm sure IBM just forgot about them. It's a testament to the Broncos depth if anything.

FTR - Copley and Glenn rule.

So I forgot them. Big deal. Would you like a bigger tampon? What is it about my squad that isn't decent?

Glenn on to the bench for Hala, Copley in for Reed, Reed to.....?

Glenn may follow Griffin to ... ?

Would be happy to see Glenn leave. A stale player going nowhere.

Sorry dude, rough day, still no excuse for being narky, but I am sorry.

Reed is a tough one and to be honest if Hodges doesn't hang up his rep boots I can see him being injured a lot in 2015. Personally I would play Reed and Copely in the centres and Hodges at fullback with Milford on the bench.

I would runn with the following side personally.

1 - Hodges
2 - Vidot
3 - Reed
4 - Copely
5 - Kahu/Maranta/Hoffman/Eden
6 - Barba
7 - Hunt
8 - McGuire
9 - McCullough
10 - Parker
11 - Glenn
12 - Thaiday
13 - Gillett

14 - Milford
15 - Garbutt
16 - Oates
17 - Kennedy

I can't see us keeping Hannant, if we are chasing Packer surely Hannant is gone.

Oh and yes I know people think Hodges will struggle with injuries at fullback. Yes and no, sure he will run for more carry metres, but he'll have two wingers who can take some of that load off him, especially if it's Vidot and Hoffman. Plus have you noticed we are doing less dummy half runs with Hodges at the back, and he is doing no dummy half runs when he was good for 10+ a game. This has made our attack less predictable and more dangerous. So I think the amount of running he does will be about the same, the big difference is at fullback we are getting him out of the heavy collisions more and putting him more one on one with players, having him tackled less with ball in hand and decreasing his defensive workload.

Eh I didn't used to get Glenn but I've been warming to him for a while now. He does tough STRAIGHT runs when no one else is willing, he truly is a player who leads by example. Running off Barba + Hodges has given him more quality ball too.

@Kiwi, look I think Hodges has been a revelation at fullback too, but for the balance of the team, Milford needs to start. We can't have 600k on one bench player. He'll get plenty of quality ball with Hunt and Milford passing it to him.

If Hoffman is at the club 2015 then he will definitely have one of the wing spots. Hoffman could potentially be one of the best wingers in the game. I just hope he realises that.

Wing or nothing for Hoffman in my opinion. It's pretty clear that his reluctance to pass has cost us games this year. While his running game is good, it hasn't won us games. He's just made good metres.

This is one of Griffin's problems - he can't seem to understand you have to play to people's strengths. He puts square pegs in round holes too many times, and everyone ends up with their edge rubbed off.
