We blew a huge chance.
Caught on the last many times and poor kicks by halves giving them 7 tackles sets.
Our big bopper plan by Hook didn't work.
Jayden Hunt missed a vital tackle.
Kerr ran hard but easy to see why he's in reggies with Hunt 1 6 7 need to always back up, even when Matt made a break nobody there.
No point forwards running if no one to play second phase.
Losing Rava and maybe Sims.
Pereira never played like today in any game for us.
Now we fall into the group with the chooks when we could have been 4 in front of them but now we wiil he equal with them if we cant bt them, which I think we won't.
Also my run as starting game thread wins has come to an end

Kevvie did it with half the team out and I think Kevvie brain dead.

We had one player out and are getting our arse kicked.

All you need to see is the last set by us and the current set by BNE.

Look how the games ending. That's all I need to know, we got beaten by a reserved grade team.

I'd love to see Bennett take over the Dragons again just to see who he retains and discards within a matter of weeks. There is a problem with coaching and/or a major issue with the quality of player we have.

Some, and I'd suggest most of our players aren't team players
- no support running, not covering and backing up in defence when needed but most are guilty of it. Dumb little lapses led to most of the Broncos tries today and as always our second half was a disaster. Tell me that's not an obvious trend, sin bin or no sin bin. Walter's troops just banded as a team within the space of a week or two whereas we were only missing our captain. Man, Walter's would be pleased, he probably doesn't get two points there against a half decent team. He'd be super pleased with young blokes showing 80 minutes of pride for the jersey.

Whatever the case, we are about 4 key players and a decent coach away from being a threat so I am done commenting on this rabble for now. They just love finding excuses and ways to lose.

I had high hopes for the Sullivan / Amone combination, but obviously they are not ready yet.
I know that this is just a game and not to get upset with the result, but in saying this we are way off the pace in terms of how we lack in exciting players and game breakers.

I know things might have been different if Sims wasn't sin binned twice but even if he wasn't, we would not have been able to match the Broncs who seemed more committed and wanting to win.

We certainly missed Hunt today and in no way does Sullivan come in at 7 and Hunt to 9 next year. We need Hunt at 7 and we need a proper Hooker and Sullivan needs to learn a lot more especially with his kicks in general play and setting up the backline. Amone also is not the answer.

I just don't know where we go from here because in looking at the games ahead, and I don't want to be pessimistic, we could lose all of the remaining games like we did last year. Sorry but that is how I see us.

Getting "run over" by the second string baby Broncs is so embarrassing and we get to play them in the last round with maybe all of the best players back.

Hook is getting paid to coach and he isn't on much I believe and what he gets is probably too much. His re-signing for next year puts a massive black cloud over our club once again and our team won't have many changes, well worthwhile ones, anyway.

Without Ramsey today, the scoreline would have been worse. Reynolds was the key for the Broncs today when last week he wasn't.

My rant is over and there isn't anything that I say that will change today's result.

Whilst the refs were utter crap in the first half we only have ourselves to blame in the second very dumb football once again by us we are an inconsistent rabble and even worse without B Hunt in the team.
Our right side defence ..abysmal
Our right side goal line defence ..embarrassing
5th tackle options .....amateur hour
Rava ..defensive liability
Our chances of making a dent this year ..Zip
If we cant beat a team missing 10 regulars ,,what hope
Josh Kerr ...nothings changed
Jayden Hunt ..blew opportunity
Why was Lawrie left off for so long
JDB not a front rower
Was Hooks game plan to revert back to the wild 90s " take out their main ball player " at all costs ????????? .
Halves not ready for week to week first grade
The tidal wave of hype for Sullivan , should recede for the remainder of the season
The resigning of Captain Ben Hunt a priority
Signing of a quality Prop for next year , say Haas , a must
Reynolds becoming a protected species
The gap widening between NRL and KOE Cup..reserve grade
Why do the majority of our younger players turn their backs on the defence and run back into the line ??? Hunt got caught out today , which led to a Broncs try
In the run to the Finals we may surprise a few , but in the real world we won't trouble the comp heavyweights Panthers , Cows , Storm etc
This result will over take the Titans loss in magic round as our most costly and disappointing loss of the Year

Dufty had his fair share of love and hate within his roller coaster career with us.

All I can say is I hope Sloan, Ramsey, Sullivan and Amone do find a far more settled first grade run soon. Our future depends on it. So far it hasn't been the case. Ramsey back for now looks on fire. Has put in the hard yards off the field.

I don't disagree Sullivan was off today and I am not going to make excuses of that but I also hope he gets persisted with in the short term in first grade in some capacity. Suited to Mbye's role perhaps. Sloan picked up a couple tries today. Maybe he gets a go at Rava's wing? but Hook likely to disagree and go with Moga.

Should have won that game, everything was in our favor, then we had kick off….
2 sinbins, poor discipline, poor 5th tackle options. Tackled ourselves into the ground and we lost our way. Ramsey playing really well and was the one shining light today.
Sadly another reality check for our young halves ….

Not much to be happy about but a few positives for the future...

Cody Ramsey's form...I think he has been terrific since coming into the side at fullback. He seems to be growing in confidence with each game and really seems to have cemented his spot at the back. A couple of tries and a couple of line breaks and 145m of quality with the ball. He's become a real rock at the back. It's going to take a lot for him to lose the fullback spot...

And the form of Blake Lawrie...He's strung some really good performances together of late and todays effort of 173m running meters and 37 tackles with no misses was a great effort again. They say you don't see the best of front rowers till their late twenties and his form has really gone to the next level this year...

I also thought both edge back rowers had good games...Bird was heavily involved and Su'a is a real workhorse on that right edge. 137m with 55 post contact and 33 tackles for Jaydn, who is and will continue to prove to be a really astute buy by the club...

Some positives in what was a disappointing result for us all...

Anyway on to the next one.

i was really hyped for this game and now its just so disappointing, i was hoping to see many good things come from our halves, but i didnt see much, i saw the usual, a flat attack and poor defense in the middle, pretty ordinary kicks. im glad we are out of the 8 and honestly if we cant beat a reserve grade side it would be embarrassing to be in the 8. there is no way this team will make finals for years, ive given up trying to see a solution, there are people being paid a lot of money to do that. i can now go back to feeling the way i have felt for the last 10 years and not worry about September!!!!

Parra lost to 2 reserve grade sides in Wests and Dogs and they are happy to be in the 8.

A poor kicking game absolutely kill you. I really don’t think you will make it without a kicking game.

Another very poor attacking display. What surprises me most is that we are in and around the top 8

on a positive note only 8 more painful games to go
I thought the kicking game would be the worry..
Instead of throwing it wide we turned it into a slow forward

Posession and run meters were the same between both teams which means the halves need to perform and unfortunately for many who've been flying the Sullivan and Amone flags have been shown THEY'RE NOT READY.

How people would expect that a bloke they've seen or heard plays well in JERSEY FLEGG is ready to come in and replace a half who is leading the dally M count is beyond me.

Time to be patient and realise our team needs time.
