I think people thinking this will ruin Bulldogs season are kidding themselves.

You're absolutely right. I still think the Dogs can score bucketloads of points with the fantastic creativity provided by the likes of Kris Keating, Ennis and Reynolds.

Dean Ritchie was on FOX saying he is unsure of the exact details but,Barba has split with the mother of his 2 kids, and has been drinking and gambling heavily.
But if Wally is right, then the bar is set at 1 year, the Cowboys would fight any suspension less than that, and rightly so,we will just have to wait for the whole story, which will not take very long if recent history is a gauge.

I'd like to think the Cowboys would be able to let it go, depending on the allegations. With the drugs in sport and whatever this may be, fighting between NRL/clubs isn't what we need. Plus it just opens you up for ridicule, a la Brett Stewart and his sooking.

Good coaching, a bit of tough love and Des Hasler making sure no player thinks he is bigger than the team

From SMH:

Barba’s manager Gavin Orr maintained that the suspension could be lifted within weeks. He said he and Barba supported the club’s actions.
‘‘He’s identified that he’s struggling with a few issues with his family,’’ Orr said. ‘‘He wants a bit of private time to deal with those issues. I hope he’ll be back in a week or two.
‘‘He doesn’t want to let anyone down. That’s the big thing.
‘‘There’s just some personal issues between him and his family that he needs to address. He’s going to be working hard over the next few weeks to address them.
‘‘He just wants some personal time at the moment.’’

So could be only a few weeks? Is that just optimism from his manager? If its the case than this isn't that big a deal. I wonder why the dogs wouldn't just do the old "He is carrying an injury" if it was though?

I got to hand it to the new ARLC they certainly have developed a way to ensure the "drugs/match fixing" stuff is forgotten about quickly.

Wally would have said whatever nein told him to. He personally has nothing to worry about.

Not to mention, has anyone even heard what was stated? It seems to be people just going off a paraphrased post.

You dont get suspended for breaking up with your woman and throwing money on the ponies or on Queen of the Nile.

So how long till the dogs sign up another 1st grade fullback to replace him for the season?

They had no issue finding cap room for 2 x international wingers to keep replacing injured players last season so I'd expect the signature of The Dugan or perhaps Sam Tomkins to be secured by close of business tomorrow.
Tim Moltzen would be better

FOX were just reading tweets, and they said Wally has said it is domestic violence related,so nine and Wally surely can't be that stupid in todays climate to just go off here say or make stuff up.
