no charges

not even a police matter says Greenberg

Wally and 9 might be in trouble

if they've got this wrong i hope they are in trouble. I'm sick of journalists being able to say/write whatever crap they want without any responsibility for checking their facts

could be back in 6 weeks or 6 months

given Lui was suspended for 12 months it's sounds like channel 9 are wrong

Is that what Greenburg stated? As "progressive" as the ARLC are, I doubt they will be letting clubs decide the length of suspension of players if they have done anything that breaches NRL code of conduct issues.

If this is as minor as we all hope, the Bulldogs have done there level best to make it a bigger issue than needs be so far.

So, reading between the lines, it was serious enough to warrant a sacking but the Bulldogs don't operate that way, they say because they're worried about Ben as a person, may be true but probably also know that if they sack him he'll be picked up by another team right away.

Hoping it's not something really bad because he's great for the game. But the information is pretty vague (which usually indicates something bad) and you wouldn't stand down your best player unless you really had to.

Cant see a mental breakdown or depression/mental issues being a "Breach of the clubs code"

Well no having mental health/breakdown issues wouldn't be a breach of conduct in and of itself, but could cause the reason for a breach (eg. 'snap' and do something bad) or be an after-effect of the breach (eg. do something bad then overcome by the emotional/professional/social/etc impact of whatever it is).

Hope it's not bad (for his and his family's sake, or anyone that may be involved with whatever it is).

Barba should approach Mundine and seek some help from Choc, he seems to have made Quade and SBW much better people and helped SBW overcome the issues he had earlier on in his career.
