1 Patten (8.5) [put him back to 8] Patten is a safe fullback, nothing special (7)

2 El Masri (8.5) [back to 8 like Patten was 8.5 due to goal kicking ability, but i guess you dont count that] Can kick goals... (7)

6 Anasta (9) [back to 8.5] Over-rated (7)

10 Mason (9.5) [derserves to be 9.5 he is a great player] Good player (8.5)

11 Sonny Bill Williams (10) [best player i have seen, i would give Lockyer and Johns 10 and SBW is awesome himself deserves 10] 1 year of first grade does not put him in the same bracket as Johns & Lockyer...(8.5)

13 Grimaldi (8 ) [Not a great player but does his job everyweek dont think he need to be changed] Solid, nothing special (7)

14 Maitua (8.5) [Very good talent 8.5 earned] Good player (7)

15 Hughes (8 ) [Not flash but again does his job, same as grimaldi] Dirty merkin (6)

16 Asotasi (9) [put him back to 8.5] Very good player {7.5}

17 Cwzlowski (7.5) [Not that bad...7.5 is fine] Not proven as first grade material yet (5)

A lot of people you talk to rate the Dragons squad as the best in the league so i decided to compare both sides rating them without being biast...

1 Patten (8.5) v Hornby (8.5) [Both pretty good would have Patten though slighty over Hornby]

2 El Masri (8.5) v Best (7.5) [Havent seen much of Best but he wasnt that great at the sharks would pefer El Masri even without his star goal kicking]

3 Lolesi (8.5) v Gasnier (8.5) [Personally i would have Lolesi because Gasnier is always injuried but all in all both are qualities players, although most would rate Gasnier better]

4 Tonga (9.5) v Cooper (8.5) [Tonga is a gun and would beat any centre he came up againest at this point in time, so he gets the nod above Cooper even though Cooper is a very classy Centre]

5 Utai (9.5) v Simmonds (7.5) [Utai is the best winger in the game for mine and Simmonds comes no where close]

6 Anasta (9) v Barrett (9) [Really cant split these two both are very good players, i would have Barrett for the rep games and Anasta for the club games]

7 Sherwin (9) v Head (9) [Again both top halfback i really do like Matthew Head, but i would still not swap Brent Sherwin for any other halfback he is a legend when on song]

8 O'Meley (9.5) v Ryles (9) [Shrek is a awesome prop who i wouldnt swop for any other prop, in saying that Ryles is very good when he is on the field]

9 Perry (7.5) v Ennis (8.5) [Perry is very good defensively but average in attack, i havent seen much of Ennis but from what i have seen he does look the goods so he would be ahead of Perry]

10 Mason (9.5) v Bailey (9.5) [Both extrodinary players, i would have Luke Bailey in any side i choose let it be for Australia or whoever he is awesome, but in saying that we all know how good Mason is also, so they would be equal]

11 Sonny Bill Williams (10) v Young (8 ) [SBW best 2nd rower i have ever seen is awesome, Young doesnt even come close]

12 Ryan (9.5) v Thompson (9) [Both very good players but i would have Ryan for sure. Ryan is a great player and leader]

13 Grimaldi (8 ) v Timmins (9) [I would have Timmins over Grimaldi but im not taking away anything from Grimaldi]

Bench

14 Maitua (8.5) v Creagh (8 )
15 Hughes (8 ) v Manu (8 )

All in all from the 17 players the highest score being 170...

So i would rate the Doggies better than the Dragons, how do other people see it what are your opinions and thoughts?

If i had to choose a side from the Dragons and Bulldogs this would be my hybrid team...

Ryan v Thommo - Both great years last season. Ryan had more time on park.
Sonny Beats anyone hands down.
Timmins v Grimaldi, right now i would take Grimaldi. Timmins can shit on him if he gets his act together.

Sims is the best young prop with Weyman and Topou on the market by far.
Poore is another in the same category.
Creagh is earmarked for Stardom
Holdsworth will shit on barrett and anasta .

Despite the scaling down of certain ratings, the difference in quality of players is similar to jono078's ratings.

Keep in mind that these ratings are affected by a player's career achievements, not just talent. A bit hard to give Head a 9 out of 10, when he clearly would be ranked only mid table amongst the NRL's halfbacks. He's not 'very good' yet.

I would have to say Michael Witt is a good player and so is Daniel Heckenberg, Donald has pace but not much defence and the other two are rubbish!!

But Phillips more importantly have you got anymore Andrew Ryan's or Willie Tonga's Brian Smith thinks are rubbish and wants to send our way? We need a talented Hooker maybe you could send us a hooker maybe even PJ Marsh, or can Marcus Perenara or Tim Smith play hooker?
