No..................... you know what you have said in the past.

It wasn't correct, and you know it. We have no money??
Ask Poore, Shackleton and Tahu................

Suity

and you don't remember the media report about Cayless's upgrade which prevented players from coming to the club??..

another signafacent thing happened since the "new board" came on was that Hindmarsh had his deal exteneded 2 years with his contract money back ended which freed up a fair amount of money for next year...

I would sell Ravi Bopara's mother to get Burgess here. The signs we could make would be classic.

well apparently we did..and if i can find the article i'm talking about than my arguement was based on that alone, nothing I claimed was from an inside source which you claimed it was...

and if it wasn't for Hindy's extension we probably wouldn't have as much as you think but as i reiterate i still believe a contract player will leave but i just don't know who at this stage..

Never said that, just stated that you said , which you did on many occassions, ..........that we had no money to spend. Simple as that.
We obviously did have money to spend, which we have done so. And I'm more than happy that we did.
Mention Hindy and contract extensions as much as you like. It doesn't change what you said over and over again.

off course we'd have money to spend now that we've finally got a group of people who can manage our cap properly.

TBH there was a lot of misinformation bandied about before and during the election. The club's financial position (cap or otherwise) wasn't as bleak as the spin doctors made it appear.

You can't blame Stagger for getting caught up and believing the porkies that were being spread.

Yep, I can remember the countless posts by Stagger stating that Parra had jack all in the cap. He must have been given the wrong info.....

countless???...ok here's a challenge for you Jake, quote 3 seperate posts, I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult ;-)

meanwhile, I really don't have an issue admitting that I was wrong and I probably was then as I have been on many occasions on many issues and topics but I was simply reacting to the report about Cayless's upgrade that was supposedly preventing Parramatta from improving their squad..

also Jake if you want to play that game, lets touch base in a year or 2 and see how the new Jonathon Thurston will be going at Cronulla...;-);-)

To be fair to Stagger, there's a few guys we have who are probably paid overs that are coming off contract, and I can remember some stories which had Daniel Anderson quoted as saying there wasn't much room for spending.

Daniel Anderson’s plans of overhauling the struggling Parramatta Eels with a list of new signing has taken a major blow, with revelations the club doesn’t have money under the salary cap for a spending spree.

The Eels, who have three wins from eight games this season, have struggled despite the arrival at the start of the year of new coach Anderson.

Yet despite losing halfback Brett Finch to Melbourne – and in the process freeing up $300,000 under the cap – Parramatta is still reportedly struggling to find space to fund any new big name signings, according to NRL.com.

Instead, the extra cash means the club are now more likely to be able to retain young props Tim Mannah and Josh Cordoba and veteran back-rower Joe Galuvao.

The Eels have already been priced out of negations with in-form Dragons back-rower Ben Creagh.

Members of the football club, including Anderson, presented Parramatta’s Leagues Club with the team’s financial situation last night – which showed the Eels will struggle to land any big names for next season.

“Daniel Anderson has inherited an absolute disaster,” a source inside the club told NRL.com.

“I think the board was quite shocked last night because some of the things that they had heard previously were a bit of a misnomer.

“The place was a shemozzle.”
