The sandard of refereeing is indeed a big problem at the moment.

The recruitment of fringe forwards is/was a gamble and a gamble we have lost.

Persisting with Price has been a dumb experiment and will cost the Board more than they will save.

At the end of the day, if you make dumb decisions you should not expect to get great results.

Lifting a the leg of a player on tackle 5, puting your hand on the ball after the ref has called held, standing in fromt of the ref in defence - 10m or 13m is dumb.

Yar thats a good summary, though we compounded it with our own discipline too.. but understandably we were very fatigued.

Id like to pick out Hunt & Rein and occasionally Creagh as the blokes who hold down in tackles too, its deliberate with Creagh (giving his side time) but Hunt & Rein are always challenging the ref to penalise them.

Creagh may have gone close but conceded no penalties whilst Hunt, Rein and De Belin conceded 2 each
Creagh also made 31 tackles, ran 109 metres and made 2 tackle breaks in his 80 minute, error free effort.
I find Hunt's 2 penalties in 36 minutes, (one every 10 tackles) particularly galling as his does the same thing every week. He ran 68 metres and gave them all back with penalties and threw in 12 free tackles to boot!

We need a big bopper to bend the line and not give away lazy penalties, but we'll probably end up with the fat bastard in the weight loss ad photo above !

We fans have known that for 3 years so have the mates
coaching this club at every age level. So y haven't
we bought mongrels?

I heard the super coaches say last yr stockwell needed
to bulk up? I can't see any bulking up ?

Heard anasta say today last yr they were a small pack
and that this year it needed to change, and low
and behold they worked on their weakness and r now mongrels
5 games in.

Action, ambition sumthing we lavk

You probably shoudnt be saying anything. But hey, that's the beauty of an open forum. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I agree. But we did bomb two tries in the first half and half of the penalties we received were given on the first and second tackles of the previous set, which meant we didn't get as many full sets and possession as the penalties would indicate. But we were not crisp and efficient as the score line would suggest. The Pennies at Penrith will be a tough opposition but I feel if we hang on to the ball and complete our sets we will overpower them through the game.

Too right we will be tough... No 7-1 penalties for your mob to feed off this week !

Creagh missed 2 significant tackles and Rein is the first man to tackle way too many times! Widdop has missed a few crucial tackles as well. When in comes down to it an offload conceeded is a missed tackle and that is also killing us. I watched the game today and although we looked bad it wasn't hoplessess

Creagh is finished as a player, his best days are long gone. It was evident about half way through last season.. it hurts to say that but its the truth.

too small to play in the middle, too slow to play as a running wide back rower... he has now become a square peg in a round hole...

I'll probably get some criticism regarding this post, but i think Pricey's loyalty to Creagh is what will keep him in the team this season, it wont be his form..

lol nonsense. He has been our best forward this season outside of Merrin.

the best of the bad bunch doesn't equate to being up to first grade standard.
Merrin daylight in front.
i would rate JDB ahead of Creagh this season to date, and i think Thompson deserves more opportunity.

Commited yes!!

When's the last time those tree trunks actually
got through a gap? Or does a finger constitute a tackle
for Ben and surrender ?

Ps: seen sum 85k players bust tackles at will

We have won 3 games - the bunch wasn't so bad during those and Creagh led them strongly. He seems to be an easy target for criticism but it is misguided. He has been very good. We actually need him at both the edge and the middle, if possible.
