Q: Is your net connection going to impact on your ability online? Kinda obvious answer is yes, though what speeds should I be looking for. On the Central Coast, we run ADSL2.

What console do you use?

I've found that my XBL tends to play with less lag online then my PS3 using ADSL2.

Note: I'm not trying to start a console war here, that is just how I've experienced it.

It's all good Parra, appreciate the post. Truth be known, I do like XBOX 360, it just doesn't play my region free games which I NEED if only the ony title, NCAA 11. I owned one, gave it away, wife won one at the Xmas raffles and I have on sitting there in a box. I won't be giving it away, I think I might use it for first shooters.

Anyway, thanks for the info. It was fine today. I am just concerned some might be behind the ball if only because some have a faster internet connection.

That's assuming the ADSL2 is working up here at the desired time.

My best advice is don't wander around in the open. Use any available cover and use it effectively. Even hugging walls will make a difference..

Disappointing game, Modern Warfare 2 was much better, single player and multiplayer.

I had fun playing the zombies again though.

MW2 had the worst storyline of any COD game ever made and multiplayer was noob tuber sensor gun and riot shield bonanza.

I agree, the story line was awful but I just liked the level designs and weapons a lot better in MW2. The story line in Black Ops was pretty silly as well though....

Got my first pro perk, Second Chance Pro.

How did you or do you, go about getting these? Play WDM or other game modes?

Camping in one spot is a bitch tactic, and will rarely net you any sizeable killstreaks. Plus sitting there zoomed into one spot for 10 minutes must be a really boring way to play the game.

Fair call for when you are a lone gunman, but when employing team based tactics a patient (albeit accurate) sniper can swing a game dramatically by forcing teams to conceed certain parts of maps. Sadly they have almost disappeared & now all you get are the wanker 360-ladder-stall-no-scopers. Sure it looks good by itself, but when it takes them 27 deaths to fluke that one shot & effectively hand the game to the opponents whats the point?

Disappointing game, Modern Warfare 2 was much better, single player and multiplayer.

No slight on you Mongoose, this is a constant argument on CoD forums, but IMO Black Ops seperates the players from the sprayers. The hitboxes in MW2 are horrendiously large & afford people the luxury of "vacinity" kills. Black Ops is far more rewarding of accuracy & until they appeased the squeaky wheel the snipers were as they should be, slow to scope but powerful.

After finishing single player, I finally began Multi yesterday. FMD, it's a sh*tload harder than MW2. True to my rating, I went kill'less in my second game.

I liked Black Ops, it's definitely a better game than Modern Warfare 2 (MW2 had terribly unbalanced multiplayer), but in the same sense I'm not hugely addicted to it.

I've found myself playing more with the bots than online play. Without knowledge of the map, you get raped more in BO than any other COD imo.

Also, I don't think I'll get sick of getting 50 odd kills on Nuketown.

50? Game options>Time>Unlimited then Score>30000. Teams>9V2 (you being one of the two. See what you can kill then!

Brilliant thinking..

I'll give it a go today..

I think I've played a map other than Nuketown twice this week..

Thats my standard game testing options for when I'm trying a new gun or attachments or killstreaks. By the time you have racked up 90% of the kills to 30000 you well know if you like a setup or not. Though I find Firing Range to pretty much be the perfect map in BO. It's small enough to run'n'gun but there's enough hiding spots/cover/routes to keep it interesting.

This is so true, my accuracy percentage has dropped significantly in Black Ops. But I take it that other players accuaracy has fallen even more since my stats in Black Ops are far better than they were in MW2.

God I haven't played this in a month. I might dust it off tonight. I also love testing out stuff with bots.

I currently have 5 pro perks that I am using, I obtained them all rather quickly by playing capture the flag.
The pro perks I have (on this prestige) are:
Scavenger pro, lightweight pro, slight of hand pro, marathon pro and hacker pro.

They were all relatively easy to get bar hacker pro, the claymore kills were a bitch to get
