I was never into FPS for the PS3 (although TimeSplitters was seven shades of awesome fun). My sister bought me COD 4: MW for my PS3 for my birthday and it blew my mind.

Hopefully this can do so, too.

The only word I can use to describe it is :wow.

Serious eye candy and it is so goddamn intense. Multiplayer is just a frag fest and is so much fun. I'm still learning the maps but FFS there are guys already on Prestige.

I just picked mine up this arvo on lunch and it is sitting on my desk taunting me as well. Prestige pack with the Night Vision Goggles cost $199.00, alot of places sold out of them on pre-orders alone (here in Perth at least)

In reference to some of the players already being on "prestige" apparently some yanks were able to get their hands on it on 5/11

Can't even play it tonight as it my girlfirends and my mothers Birthday today

More Wii's than Xbox, PS3 and PC combined? I don't think so..

I have a Wii as well and will probably pick up the Super Mario Bros game as well but yes there alot of Wii's out there

I am overseas until March and am so bummed I can not play this game on my 360. Anyone have any experience with the COD franchise on PC? Is it any good on PC - particularly multiplayer?

COD 4 on my (then) new LCD was a cream dream. Much better than console IMO.

Maybe I shouldn't say this in here but...

I wasn't that impressed by the end of it. Once again my gripe was it's to short but then I saw what I had to do get more missions open so that was a little better. BUT, & this where I felt a little cheated, some missions really felt like they had been cosmetically stripped down, had a different face painted on & then sold as a new thing. The stand out one in this instance for me was the White House mission.

Haven't tried multiplayer yet but if everyone is having similar probs I think I may leave it for a bit longer.

complaints formt he PC users is that COD was a PC franchise but now it's been bastardised on the pC esp multiplayer. seems to be issues with sevrers and matchmaking but i dont play multiplayer so i dont know exactly what the prob is.

i enjoyed it but it was way too short. i do love the urban levels where enemies are coming from everywhere, front, sides, behind, above, very immersive. dunno if it was betetr than MW1 though...

I played for about 4 hours last night. I had mixed success on games mainly due to baaad lag. I quit so many straight after joining because I was sick of being shot by players I can't even see.

It seems there is an issue with the host migration. For some reason the default is an american host. I was in a game last night with about 12 Aussies and an American joins and all of a sudden it "switches hosts" and guess what? There are 12 red dot Pings and 1 full green bar.

It is rather frustrating and I hope they fix it. I played about 5 games on an Aussie server and it was fantastic.

Oh...PS3 btw.

To me the online play is more like World at War and the lag has stopped me from playing it.

My kill/death ratio is rapidly falling below 1.00 and it has nothing to do with how good or bad I am. Watching replays of my deaths is so frustrating becaue then you realise how bad the lag is. You are literally a sitting duck for those players with no lag.

I got around to buying this today, and I think it broke my xbox. lol.

Was doing the snow mobile section, and then randomly the sky and trees and stuff get covered in black and white squares. Level finishes and it's still there.. restart xbox and it's still there.. go into a different game and still there.

Should have stuck with Halo

Yeh that is what I have heard. As it turns out I don't think my system will handle the game. I have 4GB ram but only 2gHz so I might give it a miss The bonus is by the time I get home the lag issues should of been sorted out on the 360.

On the lag issue (360)...don't they have an option where you can choose to play with local hosts only? (they had this in WaW). I rarely had lag issues with WaW.

Been playing online with both Yanks and Aussies, with Aussies i have green with Yanks i have yellow. The multiplayer is fantastic, special ops is good fun for 2 people and the single player is good but not as revolutionary as mwf:1 felt, overall the game gets 9.0/10.0 *thumbs up*

As multi Player sucks and inifnity ward sold out to the consoles i will be getting a pirate version.. Wont be paying for a game that is only single player at best.. to bad it could have been a good game..

Is it worth buying this game for the Nintendo DS Lite?

I bet it's as hard as hard to play and you get killed a lot.

And it's friggin' $68 in JB.

when you are by yourself yes, it automatically tries to put you in a decent game, but when you have a group of 2 or more, it seems to just randomly throw you against everyone. It's really p!ssing me off TBH.
