Another big week in the relegation battle with both Wakey and Toulouse playing winnable games. Toulouse at home to a resurgent Leeds will be hard and Wakey away at a struggling HKR looks the easier game for the win. Both games could easily go either way though.

Toulouse DEFINITELY need to win this one … cliche alert but every game is like a GF for them from now on … I just hope they can stay up for the good of French and international RL !!!

Toulouse vs Leeds kickoff has been pushed back to 8PM local time because of the heat, around 40c during the day. Could well benefit Olympique, especially as Leeds are still enjoying their little injury crisis and have brought in a Wakefield prop on loan.

big win, now lets see if Wakey can respond. Hkr game could go either way, Rovers still have lots of injuries but it’s at craven park so should be a close one.

They're at 10 points now... next 4 games are all winnable (Salford-H, HullFC-H, HullKR-A, Warrington-A).

If they can somehow extend their winning streak for those 4 that would get them to 18 points which is usually enough to stay up (only poor London in 2019 had more points)

Having seen the highlights video it must have been quite the hot one in Toulouse because the game was so slow it sometimes looked comical. The players were just exhausted at half-time, I don't know how they made it through the entire game. Could be a real advantage for Toulouse against the northerners for the remaining few home games.

What are the odds that the Dragons throw their game to get Toulouse through?

Losses like yesterday's against Salford are going to make the Dragons less likely to need generous.

They're in 4th now and are unlikely to want to risk dropping out of the top 5, even to help save TO.

I think Wakey may a win more than Toulouse left this season but will be very very close!
hard to say, Toulouse especially at home seem to have hit some form and on a 3 game winning streak, Wakey on 4 game losing streak. I can see Toulouse winning 2-3 games, Wakey 1 maybe 2 If Toulouse can win the next 2 home games it heaps tonnes of pressure on wakey for rest of season

Toulouse fixtures:
Salford (H)
Hull FC (H)
HKR (A)
Wolves (A)
Wigan (A)
Dragons (H)

Wakey fixtures:
St's (H)
Cas (A)
Dragons (H)
Wigan (H)
HFC (A)
HKR (H)

Toulouse have the 'easier' draw, for sure, but there's plenty of banana peels heading in.

SL really needs to expand to 14 teams. Leigh and Featherstone are cantering away with the Championship (Halifax a chance as outsiders).

Yeah Toulouse have a far better run and on the improve. Plus they have them comfortably on for and against, so Wakey need to win at least 1 game more than Toulouse. On paper it's in the bag but anything can happen.

Going to be interesting to see if it's made much of an effect on the national team yet. 🤔

Catalans after all these years hasn't made much effect tbf so I doubt one year in SL will. Realistically you'd need 3-4 French teams at SL level to see France competing with the better nations. Especially as they fill half the team with non French players!
