It continues to mystify me.

imo he handled the football side of coaching well (originally). But management isn't his thing...so when something went wrong (which it obviously did) sh*t hit the fan in a big way, and 2009 happened. From what little has been said about the whole thing, it doesn't sound like he did much coaching in 09...
