Would be a kickass way to kick off the season, would create a fair whack of pride in the team too knowing that the "dogs, manly and especially the panthers" missed out. Also IMo would be the katalyst of a new dawn amongst the green machine if carney inspired results on the field come to fruition.

I have not heard anything yet although Phil Small on WIN news seemed to be pretty confident he'd sign with the Raiders and very soon.

Would tear the heart out of my chest if TC leaves having seen him come up from the junior ranks and being one of his unabashed fans with the expectation of what he could give this club and its fans

I've always been of the opinion that he had more reasons to stay then leave ... we live in hope that management have given him even more reason to stay.

I have heard that he has formally turned down all the other offers as they were the same value as the Raiders' offer - don't know how accurate that is though.

I would like to take this opportunity to publically apologise for what, in hindsight, were foolish and uninformed comments regarding the attempts to re-sign Todd Carney. On reflection, I realise that on this and so many other occasions I was speaking from a position which was at best poorly informed and at worst completely ignorant.

I publically acknowledge that my postings on LeagueUnimited have shown me in a very poor light. I hope that you will accept this sincere apology in the spirit in which it was intended.
