Sacked Cronulla Sharks player Todd Carney has been photographed in Bali socialising with convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby and her sister Mercedes.
The 28-year-old, whose rugby league contract with the Sharks was controversially terminated last month after a graphic photo of him was circulated on social media, was captured in the latest image with his arms around the Corby sisters' shoulders during a trip to the Indonesian island this week.
The photograph was being widely shared on social media on Thursday morning, after it was originally posted on a private Facebook page. Fairfax Media has obtained a copy of the image.

Carney's $3.5-million, five-year contract with the Sharks was terminated less than 24 hours after a patron at Northies hotel in Cronulla took a photograph of Carney apparently urinating into his own mouth and uploaded it on Twitter in June.
Carney was sacked without being given the opportunity to front the Cronulla board. He has sought leave to appeal against the decision, saying the Sharks failed to follow the process for dealing with disciplinary issues outlined in the collective bargaining agreement negotiated by the Rugby League Players' Association.
Schapelle Corby is on parole in Indonesia after being released from Bali's Kerobokan prison in February this year.
She had served nine years in jail for couriering 4.2 kilograms of cannabis to Indonesia in her bodyboard bag.
In recent weeks, Corby has also been pictured at the Stakz Bar and Grill in Bali's party mecca, Kuta.
Australian power line worker Tim Grima said he and a group of friends had met Schapelle and Mercedes while holidaying on the island.
"Me and a bunch of mates were having dinner in some pub and they were eating in the same joint in Kuta," he said.
"We annoyed them enough we got a couple of pics out of it. [It] was actually a trip highlight."
The Stakz Bar and Grill appears to be a regular haunt of the Corby family.
Pictures on the bar's Facebook page from March show Schapelle partying with another crowd, while an image from June features Michael Corby junior, Schapelle's brother, eating a meat pie.
