will be an interesting crowd given there is far less likelyhood of travelling fans from those two teams. Rosters might take 3-4,000 and Broncos a few so the rest of the crowd you would think would be CC RL fans?

The weather is a bigger consideration. Heavy showers forecast until about 6:00pm will have an effect on numbers.

what is it with Rain on the East coast? Can we have some please??!

Wind patterns, ocean currents, depth of continental shelfs affecting ocean water temperature and natural terrain breaks i.e. mountain ranges.

The Indian Ocean is very deep and hence the water is much colder than the Pacific therefore evaporation is much harder and there is little in the way of natural terrain for cloud formations to break upon. In the other direction they tend to break over the Great Dividing Range but then travel over an expanse of desert with no water to evaporate.

But that's if you want to get technical... ;-)

In terms of fans or corporates for the Titans? I doubt it will impact on fans.
It'll give Titans fans another local derby they can travel to, giving the new team a 35,000 or 40,000 gate they can add to the 50,000 gate they'll get when hosting the Broncos (and their fans).

it's felt like one of the wetter 6 months in recent history I think, ever since springs it's just been showers on and off.

Good turn out @ Bluetongue so far in absolutely horrible weather for a place with no current home team. The central coast locals love their footy.

8616 is fantastic given the weather. A Mariners game in that weather would've struggled to crack 4k.

Imagine the crowd figure had it been a local Central Coast side playing. 8616 in absolutely atrocious weather with no home team playing is fantastic considering Brookvale got 8680 in slightly better conditions and Dairy Farmers for 10,350 in good conditions.

Look, if you want another Crushers or Giants/Seagulls/Gladiators/Chargers, then by all means add another team in SEQ "because there has to be another team in SEQ". If you want to actually add another team that can seriously challenge the Broncos, then do the hard work the Reds and Bears have done. Don't have a bunch of bickering bids based on nothing more than throwing the toys out of the cot at the prospect of NSW gaining another team (more correctly, getting back a team that should never have been lost, and giving a team to the Central Coast at the same time). Or you could always try offering to make a sacrifice yourselves for the good of the game, instead of always asking/expecting others to do so. Split the Broncos into 2 clubs - et voila. :)

The longer the Broncos run goes this year the worse it could be for the CC bid.

If the Broncos have a blinder, the crowds will surge along with the hype and the potential and excitement around a 2nd BNE team could build. Phil Gould will blow his load every Friday night, if the Broncos string some more together it will be "RL heartland" this, "They need a 2nd team" that, etc. etc.

I am not saying this to sh*t on the Bears bid, but the momentum could swing coming closer to the decision time.

The Broncos haven't faced a real test yet. They have played mostly teams that aren't setting the field alight (thus far) or sides with quite a few injured players out. They have had wet-weather games the last two weeks which suits their grinding, defence-oriented play.
