100 members signed up at Chatswood this weekend - total membership very close to 5500 as at 3pm this arvo, which doesn't include any Kincumber signings. The promo girls were working and will be there at Chatswood Westfield again both days next weekend. For those wanting to talk Bears with the volunteers and the girls, we'll be on level 2 between Aldi and Coles.

Don't think any NRL team is all that keen now to promote in an area that they believe will soon have its own NRL team & fan base.

Still disappointing for residents who were going to go to this game, unless it was changed due to the ground but thats unlikely.

The ground is in top condition after a resurface, so its not that. As well as the Bears presence, I think it may have something to do with countering AFL presence in Sydney (heard that speculation on news bulletin this morning).

It will now. Good thing we kept our heads levelled and figured it was best to keep the NRL up to date with the bid instead of a non existent I.C..

Guess you missed the part where gallop was miss-quoted. The commission will still be up and running.

Funny you ask me not to post then you quote me.

so the bris2 bid is all over the courier-mail must be a sure thing by your logic but then again im not the one that thinks 1+1= a window

I didn't ask you not to post. I asked you not to post if all you're doing is stirring. Which is what you've been doing. This however relates to yesterdays headline and therefore needs some more discussion.

The NRL will be deciding expansion. They are the one's who have all the details for every bid. The one's every bid has been in contact with. Misquoted or not, the IC isn't ready and won't be by the time the NRL makes a decision on expansion (which is in 4 or so months).

1+1=window? Nice. I knew QUT must of passed me for the hell of it during my structural engineering degree major... and here I was thinking I was very sound maths due to hardstudy and work.

good work on the members, wish my club was as proactive

Cheers mate. I think most clubs should take notice and really start engaging their communities. Too many of them have lost their way in that regard. After so many poor off seasons and BS that the game has put it's supporters through, it's definitely time for every club to pick up their caravans and go into their hubs and beyond. Go to the people and they'll appreciate that by signing up as members and attending games more regularly.

As they say.. Build it and they will come.

Central Coast loses its trial?

That game was originally booked to be played at Bluetongue stadium
Yeah it was, but this news changed ages ago. The Telegraph has for some reason picked up on it today as if it's some sort of epic story, when it isn't.

The Brisbane 2 Bid is being quickly laughed out of town. SEQ doesn't need another side yet - CQ, CC Bears and Perth are all far better candidates.
