Debt free football club management. Plus a steady stream of revenue. The fine details haven't been worked out yet but will in due time. Central Coast Bears members & supporters see the good in this. Not sure why other posters with less insight think otherwise.

But i'll post all the details in full when I know them. No point in assuming until all the kinks are ironed out.

Steady stream of revenue - for the new owner. Not for the members. The members don't even get a dividend back from the $10 Million being paid. Straight in to the cash flow of the going concern entity that the guy is buying.

Why assume what isn't sorted yet? Like I said I'll post the full details as they're released. The cash will go into the club at the end of the day, that much is known, what isn't known is the full make up of the ownership model. However there is alot for the members either way. I know, I'm personally a member who constantly contacts the CCBears.

Another 65 members signed today - close enough to 5,300. Memberships drives coming up at Chatswood Westfield on Saturday & Sunday and also again the following weekend for all the Sydney fans. Come along and say G'day. I think we have the promo girls again both weekends (hope so, I'm working the second weekend on the stand - hope the missus doesn't read this)!!!!!

Think about it, that's pretty remarkable. In tough financial times, on Australia Day, SIXTY FIVE people parted with their hard-earned to throw their support behind a Central Coast team. That's now 5,300... how is that not compelling?

The memberships are cheap.
The members watch the NRL as it is.
And we don't need another team in that region.

Thats how its not compelling.

Oink!

Most memberships are sold for $80 due to their extra incentives (shirts, exclusive membership rights & they dont expire until the end of 2012)

Other favorites are the family packs $120 (comes with shirts, hats, other exclusives)

The Cub memberships for the kids are cheap. The $20 memberships expire in a year and dont include any extras. Most previous members of this package renewed their membership already for next year.

There are also close to 70 memberships sold @ $5500 a piece.

Most are young families and find it very hard to travel to watch a team in Sydney. Most would however travel frequently to Bluetongue (which is close to home).

People, alot of people, in the region want a team. The bid has gotten corporate and sponsor support. It has approval from both political sides. Has a great business model with land aquired to build a center of sports excellence @ Mt. Penang. It has a huge local business support and has been in constant talks with the NRL since 2009.

But I guess we're all just embarrassing ourselves?

I hope the Bears get back in just for Rosyln's sake. She is a tireless promoter of the club.

She is a legend beyond legend. Absolute tireless worker and has done alot for the membership drives and the C.C.BEARS over the last 2 years. Have nothing but respect and admiration for her.

Curtis is looking fit there in the photo. Hope hs has a big year in 2011. Keep up the good work CC Bears. Lets rejoin the competition. Hopefully, the NRL bites the bullet and accepts four bids or at least informs the 4 when they will join.

e.g. CC Bears and WA Reds or a QLD team in 2013, WA Reds or a QLD team and another QLD team in 2015.
