Your post is accurate and I agree with what you’ve said.

But this bit was cruel and unnecessary.

Hey, it's possible that Gus intervening in St George will result in a McGregor sex tape popping up.

Bet you never thought you'd be hoping for that

You’re going to be disappointed cos he setting the club up to have a billion dollars in assets when pulls up stumps

That’s fine. I don’t think it is the money but Nic himself. His connections, knowing of the system, influence with the NRL. Etc.

I’ve been meaning to ask. Since SFS has been knocked down where is NRL headquarters?
Have they just set up in Nics lounge room for a couple years or what?

The broncos aren’t a powerhouse on the field. Storms run will come to an end very soon. Roosters will hopefully regress soon. I hate them for many reasons. The Swans should buy the Roosters for a walnut.
Parra will hopefully replace the storm and roosters at the top. That’s what everyone in the game wants.

Form comes and goes, always will whilst he have some semblance of a salary cap, though not surprisingly the three powerhouse clubs have all made the finals in the last 5 years more than anyone. Fanbase, corporate support, media interest, revenue, facilities, sustainability. All the trademarks by which to measure a powerhouse club.

Easy Roosters......

.they have low fan base , low crowds and no development , they just play the game to entice the best young talent from other clubs with cosmetic salary cap methods.

The key issue I see , is that no NEW location would want them......unless they changed their colors , name , that might work.

I remember seeing the NRL was requesting a 100 year lease or something on a large package of land around ANZ for a new HQ, as compensation for the change/delay in ANZ's redevelopment and lost ticket sales for the GF

Did anything come of that?

Easts crowd average was over 1000 higher than souffs' average this season :) the low crowd numbers that the Rooster Hate Brigade keep mentioning is actually a myth!!

Both Storm and Roosters get crowds that are dwarfed by other codes playing out of the same precinct. It is embarrassing to call them a powerhouse fanbase. Just don't.

Yeah but it’s a well known fact that Roosters crowds are vastly inflated.

Melbourne seem to do ok at the moment though.

When you see a stadium that holds 45,000 and it's 1/8 filled and it's claimed as 10-15k.

Surely even you must ask yourself questions.

It's well known that people supporting inferior teams deride those who do what they can to maximize their attendances to disguise their own teams ineptness in this area.

All you need to do is look and do some quick mental calculations.

I think you guys know it's true and it's why you're so defensive.

RL is not the biggest thing in town in Melbourne, to expect similar crowds to AFL is stupidity. Relative to other RL clubs Melbourne are well supported on game day and have found a very strong niche presence in the city dominated by another code.
