Sorry forgot to say about Farah. He wasn't great. As soon as he came on, it all slowed down and we looked no where near as threatening.

He also made a few errors in our half which put us under big pressure.

Cookie all the way!

He's a gun......

Will only get better and better...

I saw in the highlights of his 50m run he left Mcturtle for dust...

As you all know I have always been COOK's No.1 supporter so my reckoning of his true ability is now truly being vindicated!!
I think Cook & Farah will both be in the 17.
Real mental toughness, in the long-term, will decide who gets the permanent No.9 starting posse!!

The most concerning part of the charity shield is AJ’s injury. After watching that game I think GI and Gagai have to be our centres.

I also can’t see any reason as to why Musgrove should be in the 17 over Tatola and Nicholls. He looks really underdone and it’s quite concerning because we all know the potential he has.

2 massive standouts for me were Cook and Sutton. Seibold seems to have a lot of confidence in Cook and it seems to be paying off. Im really excited to have Cook as our 80 minute hooker this year. He’s played out of his skin this pre season and deserves it without a doubt.

Sutton. I was one of the supporters that was honestly writing him off but I thought he was our best second rower last night. The reports I read about him being underdone were bullshit. He actually looks fitter than last season.

How good was it seeing GI running around again? I honestly feel as if he’ll kill it this year.

Honestly I thought the whole team was quite solid. The position that concerns me the most is our wing position. We are short of genuine wingers but hopefully it doesn’t prove to be a massive downfall.

Great game from the boys hopefully it carries on through the season.

Is anyone still arguing against Cook as our starting number 9?
A big hell no to that one!!

Couldn't agree more mate. I thought Musgrove looked okay tbh but after these trials, I certainly think Tatola has earned a bench spot.

Are there any highlights of the Charity Shield game?
Yep, go have a look on the Souths website.

Entertaining game, but Saints bombed several gimmies.

Nice to see GI have 19mins and he looked to have a spare tyre or two around the midrift, but that will come off.

How refreshing to have a decent centre like Gagai in the joint, leave him there.

But I learnt long ago not to go overboard on trial form.

Our best line up we can throw at the Warriors:

1.Johnson

2.Kennar
3.Inglis (c)
4.Gagai
5.Graham

6.Walker
7.Reynolds

8.T.Burgess
9.D.Cook
10.G.Burgess

11.S.Burgess
12.A.Chriton

13.C.Murray

14.Nicholls
15.Fuimaono
16.Sutton
17.Tatola

I hate leaving Doeuehi out because he has nice potential, even if he is an arm grabber at the moment.

You all watched a different game to me. Dragons were camped in our 40 for almost the entire game. If not for Nightingale bombing four try’s and Leilua being unable to defend in the middle the Dragons beat us by 30. Overall I thought we were pretty poor and got very lucky.

Still think wing is our weakest position at the moment. Need to improve on discipline and not give away cheap penalties. Defence was a bit fragile out wide. Man it looked so hot out there. Overall an OK performance with room to improve. Good to get a win,,,, any win actually.
