Damn you Dempsey! Not only would that have been a goal for my Fantasy League, you would have denied Chelsea any points. Argh.

The inevitable speculation has begun again about who would replace Carlo if we don't get a result against Copenhagen

Hiddink and Mourinho head the list, either of which would do quite nicely

Not that I think it's necessary just yet...

It's been a poor season for Chelsea.

However there is no better feeling then beating Man Yoo and watching Red Nose whinge about it.

Get in there lads!!

He probably had fair reason to whinge about Rooney being tripped but I really dont know what good he thought it was going to do, the ref aint gonna change his mind, he obviously didn't see it.

He does carry on a bit.

Luiz has proven much better value in one game than Torres has in 4 or 5 games thus far. He should have been sent off, but we had more than enough chances to win that game, so we can't blame anyone but ourselves.

I wouldn't say too little, but it's definitely too late

Wins against Wolves and Fulham would have given us a decent sniff. As it stands we're likely to finish third

Hopefully this win will give the team a bit of confidence back though, and they can go on with it. Just prior to the CL quarters is as good a time as any to turn the corner...

Oh yeah, we're no hope for the title. I want us to keep fighting but a top 4 place must be our senior target. We're sneaking up on City so hopefully we can at least snag 3rd, but top 4 minimum.

I don't think we have the firepower to win the Champions League but I want us to go as far as possible. If we play well enough, who knows?

We've still got a game in hand over City, and have a game each against them and Spurs

It's in our hands

Luiz is not available, but Torres will be

Drogba, Anelka and Torres should be enough firepower, especially with the likes of Lampard and Essien behind them. The lads are still getting used to each other though

Much depends on whether we can continue this current improvement

Things have become rather interesting, with nine games to go

We're still nine points back from Man U, but have a game in hand as well as a genuine six-pointer v them. A good result from the CL quarters might rattle them a little

We're still on the up, with further improvement left in us. Our run in looks like this:

Stoke (A)
Wigan (H)
WBA (A)
Birmingham (H)
Wet Sham (H)
Spurs (H)
Man U (A)
Newcastle (H)
Everton (A)

April sees us play four of the current bottom five. Man U and Arsenal play on May 1, and both have been less than convincing of late. A few more dropped points here and there might really tighten things up...

Your biggest problem is the Arse-United match. The winner of that game will be in pole position. I imagine by that point you lot will be praying for a draw.

Our biggest problem is we're a bunch of skirts as soon as we leave Old Trafford. It's got to the point where I expect us to drop points in every away game.

By the way, thanks for killing off the bitters.

I think my preference is still a gunners win, given that your run home is a little easier than theirs. They also have a useful tendency to play like sh*te more regularly than you do

That would be nice...
