Naa sorry mate we are known for our catch-up footy not falling asleep. The only game that we did that was terrible was v Dogs when they had the salerycap- scandal.Charlie Saab said:Stranger said:Who was the man in the middle of the try in the 3rd test last year? ...... Kimmorley
Lockyer played a good 1st half in the 2004 tri-series final. Then what happened? they all died..... great captaincy. Kimmorley was the man in the games that he played this year in the tri-nations. Atleast kimmorley has a run.
yeah they all died!!
Dont talk about dying in the backend of games...Newcastle are WELL KNOWN for doing that. Building up big leads and then falling asleep.
Who leads newcastle? Johns.
You have NO F'N IDEA about league. Seriously.
And if lockyer is so damm good why did it take him till the last game to become this great player so many people think he is.
lockyer has been well known for being a great plater. He has been since 1997.
Newcaslte ALWAYS fall asleep in the back end of games. THAT is a well known aspect re the knights. Ask any knowledgable person on league.
How old are you... 12? You know nothing about the history of newcastle and the way they play

Australia down in the last 5 minutes and who wins the game for Australia? Lockyer. Throws the great pass to DeVere and then sets up the try for Ricketson.
Didn't Stranger just say we shouldn't be in that position in the first place?
 look at the team for crying out loud. Crocker was playing 5/8!!! A key position.
Crocker aint no Daley, Fittler, Lewis....he is Crocker!! Someone with less a passing game than Timmins!!
People have it in their minds that Australia can turn up with any team and win. GB are not mugs, especially at home.
how many we won what? you won have won one GF (2001...1997 doesnt count 1/2 a comp)
When was the last time Brisbane won?
dont go their. you wont win that debate.
4 comps since 1988 compared to one to the knights (1997 is a write off yr)
Out of 17 yrs they have been in the comp they have misssed the semis in 1988 89 91.
Minor premiers 1992 and 2000
Won from 5th place in 1993
brisbane have it all over newcastle

what about 1999 when the knights led the dogs by 28 in the 2nd half and LOST. I can list many games where the knights have fallen asleep in the 2nd half

Johns Magic said:[So what? We won a GF more recently than you. I'm sure you'd rather be in the Roosters position than Souths.
Gee a city 10 times the size of Newcastle

Gee a city 10 times the size of Newcastle with no other clubs within 1000km(unlike Newcastle which has 12 clubs within a 1000km radius) has only won 4 times as many premierships?
Yeah that's a great effort. Brisbane should be winning every year they have so many players to pick from. Especially when the Broncos have more players in the Australian side every test than any other club, and the Broncos and media jump up and down complaning saying there should be more.

oh yes...2001 GF
Lead the eels 24-0 at half time only to just win 30-24...CLASSIC eg of falling asleep isnt it?
Newcastle are well known for it.
At home in 2002 they lead the dogs by enough...then lose hahahaha.
So DONT use the tri series 2nd half as an example of falling asleep. They only let in one try in the 2nd half and that was from a grubber.
Australia outscored GB 6-4 in the 2nd half anyway...so your argument is BASELESS.

what about the knights? they have the best player in the game  why does he have only one GF ring to show for it?

Charlie Saab said:i was not knocking the guy, all i was saying that he has been injured since 2001. He hasnt played a FULL season since 2000.
His injuries have hampered his career and someone had to take over as captain. That man is Lockyer and he has done a fine job.
