Some of the things coming out now are making him sound like a complete douchebag.

I'm amazed they actually hauled Raw off Fox though, I enjoyed a good sob fest more than anyone and I was fully expecting it to be on. Oh well, got another hour and a half of study in for my exam... I swear, if I fail this exam.... damn you Benoit.

There isn't enough pressures anywhere in life that should overcome you to the point of taking a [innocent] child's life. None what so ever!

If I ever have the pleasure, I'll be certain to sh*t, piss and spit on this low-life piece of sh*t's grave!

I hope you burn in hell you turd-scum!

Im in the UK at the moment and raw is no where to be seen on the programme listing.

Reading some of the text messagesand stuff, it sounds like Benoit had completely lost the plot. Saying 'My Physical address' , is very weird as well as telling someone randomy 'I love you'.

By the sounds of all the reports, for people who said Benoit seemed a nice guy, from all the stuff his Wife said about her being scared of her welfare and stuff, how Chris has come across on TV before all this was nothing like he really was.

I still think they have to do somthing for Benoit, even if not a tribute. A sort of recap. You cant just ignore it and pretend nothings happened. even if the people just talk about Chris, and talk about there feelings of him now.

By the way new facts seem to be coming in I'd save judgement on this whole thing for a while.

i wouldn't.

The only facts that are coming in now are more and more bizarre, pointing to a very very sick, tourtured man who took the lives of 2 innocent people.

wow, still can't believe it. i grew up watching this guy in ECW on old dvd's and then later in WCW. its tragic

he seemed like such a good person. There must have been something seriously wrong with his life, so tragic

but if they are going to scrap his records, why don't they scrap all the others that died doing less then 'morally acceptable' things???? scrap all the buggers that died from OD's

sorry guys, but for someone to be in such a mental state that they would kill the family that they love.....its scary. he had been through so much, im not excusing what he did but the guy had probably been traumatised by the deaths of so many of his close friends, like guerrero, awesome, bam bam etc

its a tragedy. im sure that some people in the WWE knew what mental state he was in. People will always give away hints before they do things like that

The most famous of non-harts to come out of the dungeon, ECW's finest, dead at 40. I can't fathom it

I'm watching the WWE tribute show they did for him.
Some of the comments with the benefit of hindsight are telling.

Austin just said "Everything could be falling down around him and you'd never know it just talking to him."
If only he'd said something to someone before things got to the point they did.

No matter what it is a tragedy.

I really cannot judge him on this thing, nobody can to an extent because nobody will know what exactly happened because all privy to it are dead. It may have been a complete psycotic break brought on by something or he may just have been a sick twisted bastard. Nobody will know

I still think depression might have had a lot to do with it. If you look at this guy's life in the past few years coupled with what has been described as a 'volatile relationship' with his wife and the rumoured physical disabilities of his son - there's plenty there to feed depression. And the fact he never mentioned it is probably another good indicator. Those with genuine depression, particularly men, often find it nigh on impossible to reach out. If you take his closest friends such as Eddie Guerrero out of the picture - he's going to have a tough time opening up.

Now there are reports that his son has old needle marks on his arms, they think he may have been given HGH.

This is getting worse

If the report in the SMH is to be believed, the investigators said Daniel was "small, maybe dwarfishly small" (sic).

If his wife and son were sick as originally reported, and/or suffering, could euthanasia be a possibility? just wanted to throw that one out there.

I completely agree with you. It's common theme throughout the show - Just how quiet Benoit was.

If there is something thing I can take out or learn from this, it's not to let get things to a point where it's out of control. Basically if things get tough, to talk it out with someone.

I still don't know how to feel about Benoit. I hate what he did, but still can't hate Benoit. It's more a feeling of regret, that things could have been avoided. I just don't know.

I have heard rumours that the family emergency he gave the WWE was that his wife and son were coughing up blood.

But euthanasia suggests that the wife wanted to die. That fact that she was tied up and there were signs of a struggle point to murder.

What the f**k gives people the right to judge how we should feel?

I respect the f**k out of Chris Benoit the wrestler. I have no time for Chris Benoit the murderer. But then there is Chris Benoit the man, whom by all reports was a good man.

Look, I'm not a cop. I wasn't there. But I am sensible enough to realise that this crime was not your usual crime - Benoit must have been in a seriously dark place to do what he did. It's not an excuse; don't get me wrong. But it helps separate the 3 entities of Benoit in my mind.

All this, "Oh you people who still respect him have no f**king clue" talk is disgusting - who the f**k died and made you God to judge me and others? I'm still in shock and I don't know how to take it. But as I said - this was obviously an isolated incident, and in MY opinion will not tarnish the man's in-ring work up until now.

I think at that time Benoit couldn't bring himself to admit what he'd done, and was totally confused and threw the coughing up blood thing as an excuse to not be at the show.
Actually it's probably what happened when he strangled his wife and that's why he said it.

Christ this screwed up.

Again Chavo saying how quiet Benoit was and never letting anyone in.
Dammit Chris.

Hey so yeah - at what point did you walk a mile in his shoes? At what point did you become the overlord of the universe and experience every little thing there is to experience in this universe?

That's just it. There's no manual on how we should feel. To the best of my knowledge nothing even remotely similar to this has ever happened before.

A hero to literally millions committing such a crime is not even imaginable.
We never heard of Benoit ever being in trouble or backstage trouble. He seemed to be almost like one of us regular people, except he had an incredible talent for wrestling.
