Schiller in action
Thanks George. That is the first time I have had a look at Schiller. He looks to be a robust fullback, who isn't afraid of the physicality of the game. He knows his way to the try line and looks to have a passing game. Have you seen him in person and if so, what is your opinion of him? He and Ramsey will be vying for the CC fullback spot next year. Either or both of them could even push for a first grade spot.

I’d prefer Ramsay, bit quicker and more freakish to me. Schiller looks like he could make the transition very fast though due to his physicality where Ramsay may take a few years.

Spoken to James a few times, he seems level headed and from a good family.
He played league first half of year and then union. The last try is union.
He will play Flegg next year.
Cody can still play Flegg too, but is not signed yet

Schiller or Ramsey for fullback?

I hope the numbnuts at the club see that both (at this present time) are the future.
Ramsey needs to be signed up asap even to the DS.

Personally, from what I've seen, i'd have Ramsey as fullback and Schiller as a centre.

Schiller looks like he could probably handle a few positions which is good because Ramsey probably starts at fullback if he's still eligible. Did he make any rep teams along the way? Wish him luck either way

I feel new Cummins and Dufty types are emerging......yet again! Our production line of young fullbacks with potential seems to have no end, unfortunately none of these ‘guns’ seem to ultimately amount to much.

Ramsay and Schiller are both quite big though so im confident at least one of those two will make it. Cummins, Quinlan, Dufty, Sailor and Field are all small and get manhandled. Sailor is quite solidly built and can tackle in tight but the type of tackles fullbacks make with someone at full stretch in open space they all struggle with. Sailor could play centre or 5/8 no problem and may even do a job for us at 1 but i doubt any one of those is a long term option at 1.

Sorry Forbes my comments were too negative about our fullback stocks.....I’m just so depressed about the Red V and it is showing
Im in the same boat, i actually really hate it that all the players mentioned cant make it in NRL because the game is all the poorer for it. I wish there were less interchanges or something because Dufty and Field can really tear a tired team apart and its a sight to behold. I really see something in Ramsay, i think he's from the country too so likely pretty tough. He will be special if we can keep him. If we keep Dufty i know it sounds a bit ridiculous but i would love to see how he goes in CC playing a few minutes at hooker.

yes exactly! make Schiller into a centre he looks like a bit of Dugan mixed with a bit of the Penguin and could really do it...hers a thought for a future backline;

Ramsey
Saab
Schiller
Matty Feagai
Sailor/Pearson/ Feagai
Norman/Hunt
Sullivan
