Complaint of racial abuse in Roosters v Broncos

Considering the players from both clubs didn't get back to Australia until yesterday what did you expect? Lenui and his reps to work out his submissions whilst sitting on a plane? FHS, you completely ignore realistic logistical issues, and had it been convened yesterday as the original announcement of it seemed to imply, could have lead to appealable grounds by Lenui for denial of due process.

I've been on the receiving end of lack of due process more than once in my life, and on things far graver than this. It is one of the worst things that you can have happen.

I didn't say it had to be yesterday, but does it have to be next week?

During the season players only get 1 or 2 days before a judiciary hearing (rightly or wrongly).

I have sympathy for your view, but from a purely PR exercise this will continue to play out in the media for another 7 days.

The NRL not convening the Judiciary until next Tuesday, is just adding fuel to the fire.

It's going to be in the news cycle all week, and commentators, players and punters will give there opinion all week.

Who is running the NRL? The Roosters football manager?
Honestly, the week break gives everyone a chance to calm down. Tomorrow night we have some more footy which will move the focus off this. Whatever happens with Leniu people on both sides won’t be happy, if the hearing was tonight then the verdict would overshadow the round of games ahead.

Not sure if this angle has been posted yet, but the issue in question takes place from about 14:20 onwards.

Timing is usual... judiciary tue after completion of round.

He either said it or he did not say it. If he did, than man up admit it. Only Spencer knows what he said. As a 50 plus year chooks supporter I wouldn’t have a problem if his contract was ripped up If guilty.

Bit harsh if his contract is ripped up if guilty. Let’s not forge, Spencer is only a young bloke. How many racists things are said against non Aboriginal players? Do they get the same treatment? I think not.

So what happens if there is no audio of the alleged comment? It turns into all Broncos players heard it, so he must of said it.
