The difference is that players only turn to sh*t once they get to the Roosters, which is why they're thought of as overpaid. Once they're playing under a good coach who would never think playing Braith Anasta at fullback is ever a good idea, they show their worth and turn out to be great buys.

Carl Webb.

And you obviously don't watch us since Myles is easily our best along with Perrett.

Go back and drink out of the toilet.

How do you explain Carl Webbs under-achievement then?

FWIW i think after a sh*t first year at the roosters Myles has been pretty damn good, better than many others in their pack.

Not $400 000 a season good tho

Webb has always had the potential to be a great player but rarely ever shows it, having said that he has improved since coming to the Cowboys from what he was at the Broncos. Myles has gone backwards since going to the Rorters.

If Myles comes to the Cowboys i have no doubt our coaching staff will get him back to the player he was before Freddy "Anasta at Fullback" Fittler got his hands on him. The Rorters are a poisonous club where players go to die.

TT, as for Myles being your best, thats hardly a difficult thing to do when the rest of the team are playing like paraplegics.

That's a strange statement.

Last season the Roosters were playing good football. In fact they finished 4th on the ladder. Now where did the Cowboys finish? Oh that's right, last season they were f**king pathetic. Many of their players were under performing beyond belief. Who's players were dying then?

Yet, for all their faults last season I doubt if anyone would have claimed the Cowboys were a "poisonous club where players go to die" - we would have pointed to coaching issues and a lack of team cohesion, for whatever reason.

Sometimes clubs go through periods where things are tough - sometimes they have good times. The period from 1995 to 2004 was a great one for the Roosters and many, many, many players went from being average or unknown players into top grade players.

I know it's hard, but try thinking before you tap the keyboard. You might save yourself from looking like a moron.

Wow, where do i start with this mess?

I clearly said (in the post that you quoted) that "i have no doubt our coaching staff will get him back to the player he was". That same coaching staff (Henry/Johnstone/Murphy) which wasnt at the Cowboys last year. They are who will get Myles back to the player he was.

Was Fittler coach of the Rorters when they were in that good form of '95 to '04??? of course not. Since joining the Rorters players like Mason, Myles, Anasta, O'Meley etc.... have all gone backwards. That is what i mean by "a poisonous club where players go to die".

Might want to take some of your own advice and think before you type.

Considering the Cowboys coaching staff consists of the Queensland assistant coach and brains behind the Queensland team, Henry and conditioning coach Billy Johnstone I believe Charlie is well within his right.

Webb went from being a starter in Queensland Cup to an International player at the Cowboys. I can't say he's gone backwards.

Maybe you should have clarified that you're taking this season in isolation from the rest of history.

It's not my fault if you make statements without clarification ;-)

Anasta has been playing well this season and has certainly not gone backwards. If he had any support we'd be doing alot better than we are.

Mason has been asked to play either as a prop, which doesn't suit him or behind front row players that are not hitting hard and his game is suffering. Myles is new to his front row role and whilst he tries, he's still learning that role. He gives away too many dumb penalties - which is my biggest criticism of him.

O'Mealy has been pathetic and without people like Steve Price to play alongside has shown his true colours.

But the core of our team, including ALL those players you mentioned were there last season and were playing well. I don't know why they're not bothering this season - but calling our club poison is just wrong. But feel free to carrying on kicking us. We're used to it.

Nate Myles re-signs for three years

Monday, June 15, 2009
Nate Myles has today re-signed with the Sydney Roosters for another 3 seasons keeping him with the tr-colours until at least the end of 2012.
Myles signature comes at a crucial time for the Club and is an important element in the ongoing recruitment policy of retaining good quality young players.
Nate, 23, joined the Roosters in 2007 and has been a regular first grader and Queensland Origin player over the past three years.
Recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan says Nate’s signature was a key component for the club’s plans moving forward.
“Nate has been playing great football and at 23 will be at the peak of his powers in the years ahead,” said O’Sullivan.
“He is an important member of our squad and a foundation to build our forward pack on. We look for Nate to provide on and off field leadership now that he is considered one of our senior players with considerable rep football experience.”
Nate fronted a press conference this afternoon and expressed his happiness at finalising the deal.
“It’s a big decision to sign for three years but I’m happy and I think it’s a great club to be at,” said Myles.
“I’m looking forward to being around here for the next couple of years.”

What the f**k??

I know Fittler was captain, thats what my point was, he wasnt Coach you dipsh*t. I dont know what Anasta has to do with anything and while im dissappointed we didnt sign Myles it doesnt really mean sh*t, just that we wont get to see him get back to his best under a good coach. No real skin off my nose.

He won't be playing under a sh*t coach as he decided to stay at Easts and not go to the Cowgirls you f**king toilet explorer.

Fittler was a good player, but he's a f**king rubbish coach and most of the Rorters fans that are calling for him to be sacked would agree with me there. Henry (QLD Assistant coach) and Billy Johnstone (QLD S&C Coach) on the other hand are great coaches who get players to perform to the best of their ability.

Who's freddy gonna try at fullback this week? maybe Mason because he is tall? I saw O'Meley pass a ball once, perhaps freddy will give him a run at halfback!

Billy Johnson is a great contitioner but alot of his techniques focus too much on endurance and fall short when it comes to size and power gains. The Titans brought in a specialised program to bulk up their team after Billy left them too small to match teams in the middle last year.

Id be worried about the size of your middle men if this trend continues.
