Yes Johnsy, Bluebags V Bears would have made a great day on the rugby league calendar even better. a replay of the 1943 GF. It would be hard for tossers like PennywiseAlfie to understand because he reckons rugby league started in 1988.

Because im a broncos fan, than i believe that Rugby League was started in 1988? (a statement you felt the need to make twice!) Besides the fact that im not 100 years old like rugby league, im from Brisbane where BRL was king before the broncos were around, nevertheless i do respect Rugby Leagues traditions, and like i said before would love to see North Sydney back in the NRL as i hate to see supporters not have a team to follow, that doesnt mean i need to be draped in Red and Black on sunday.

Unfortunately comments like "screw the bears" do not sound like a person who appreciates leagues traditions. Considering the shafting of the bears in the last decade by News Ltd, its sounds like the comment of someone who actually supported the shafting of the bears.....
I have a feeling this is 1922 all over again. For those who don't appreciate the great games history, that was Norths last premiership.

Here we have someone who is trying to dig a hole in sand and getting nowhere.

You claim to respect rugby league traditions, yet the comment "screw the bears" flies in the face of that comment.

No-one is asking you to be draped in red and black, this is drawing an extremelly long bow sunshine. All some posters were asking to show a little respect for the games clubs who no longer have a side in the top flight competition. You not being ale to understand this, it says more about you than anything else. Enjoy the big day in your bronco's jumper

I am very happy for the bears to be there....

But frankly anything less would be quite a pathetic effort given the injection of 1st graders into the side once Souths got knocked out in week 1.

Considering the match was won by guys like Troy Boston, Eddie Paea, Shannan McPherson, Jardine Bobongie and Eddy Pettybourne, Danish's comment has no leg to stand on really.

Kind of torn on this one TBH.

On one hand I am happy for Bears fans, the true fans who have been through so much over the course of the last 8 or so years and have stoop staunch. I would love to see David peachey go out a winner in his last game playing the game he has given so much to.

On the other hand my disdain for the Souths bandwagon (please note not long time supporters) has me torn.

In all honesty I think I will follow the Bears before switching off the TV to ignore the game to follow.

The form of Cannings for the Eels and Paea for the Bears will decide this encounter

oh yeah, it kinda does, doesnt it, especially considering ive now said twice that id love for norths to come back to the nrl lol.

It seems like you and Johnsy are skimming over my posts and trying to turn my words around.

In a thread about the Grand Final this sunday, i wrote "screw the bears", implying that i'm not a bears fan and i won't be supporting them on sunday. Not "screw the bears, i had a party when they were excluded from the comp and would kill myself if they were re-entered and i hate rugby league traditions"
