The bears are undoubtedly one of the greatest clubs in the league.

Their recent success is due in no small part to the massive injection of quality players courtesy of Souths. In return, the bears have provided careful stewardship and care of same.

A fringe player for the bears at the start of the season could easily find himself in front of 32 thousand fans in a game at the back end.

Like the jets last year, the bears success shows that the traditional clubs are the backbone of this game and we ignore them at our peril.

Congratulations to our brothers, the North Sydney Bears.

The league turns its lonely eyes to you.

It has been a great idea for Souths to support the Bears as they have. Who knows what would have happened had the Bears management during their demise had the backbone and spirit of the Souths mob. They may still be around in the top grade in the near future but it will mean getting rid of Gallop and his cronies before it can be achieved.
It should be a real high quality match too so well worth getting out there.

What a surprise one Bronco fan does not appreciate the tradition of RL. Penny gives all the decent bronc fans (of whom many will be cheering on the bears) a bad name.

Penny, you souless merkin.

F*ck you are a very little man...

It's great to see the Bears finally doing well after getting the arse from the NRL, mind you it's all to do with the Souths deal than anything the Bears have actually done themselves but still, its wonderful to see them in the GF and I'll be at Norths leagues cheering them on.

oh sorry im not going with popular opinion. I never liked them when they were in the league and im not just gonna cheer them on now in a premier league game because they were hard done by in first grade. im sure if it was the broncos who were in the bears situation, you wouldnt support the broncos. so screw the bears, sorry if that causes you to freak out a bit.

Wrong again,

This situation of norths contesting the GF can only be a good thing for our game. If brisbane were a foundation club, then merged and screwed over by another club. No longer playing the the top flight competition, they then re-entered the PL comp and made the GF. 2 Fuggin right I would be supporting them. Sometimes club name/colours are meaningless, it is the tradition of our game, and what it means to see the club running around again, on our biggest day.

If were an unable to embrace our game's traditions, we are a poorer sport for it.

When it comes to the Bears coming back into the league, im all for it, i hate to see supporters have noone to support. but when it comes to a premier league grand final where they do have a team, screw the bears.

You'd boo Santa Claus unless he came down the chimney in a Broncos jersey. You need to realise that the game of rugby league has been around a bit longer longer than 1988.
GO THE BEARS!

GO THE BEARS!

Not a truer word spoken by a man who has RL best interests at heart.

There would be only one thing that could make the PL GF better, Norths v Newtown. Bruce Springsteen would surely get a work out, glory days indeed. Warm beer, and pies that are 1000 degrees on the outside and frozen solid on the inside, and you'd pay 7 bucks for the priveledge. Now what else do you need ? (apart from a premiership for the mighties) :(

Yes Johnsy, Bluebags V Bears would have made a great day on the rugby league calendar even better. a replay of the 1943 GF. It would be hard for tossers like PennywiseAlfie to understand because he reckons rugby league started in 1988.

Go the Grizleys.

I was in a shop in central qld (Miriam Vale) today. On the wall was a photo of Gary Larson, the only photo on the wall and it looked like it had hung there for ever..............is that an omen.
