Yeah, I can imagine the Bennett draw card would be pretty tempting at Newcastle. He'd do well at St George though. Roosters would make sense teaming up with Maloney, but they already have Pearce and Mortimer?.....Titans would just be a ridiculous option.

Gotta laugh at the speculation of the press conference, he'd be doing it at Melbourne regardless. He's said a number of times they'd be the first to know, that's obviously the way Cooper would do it.

The mole doesn't know s***. Cronk won't go to the Roosters or Knights. The Roosters will have Pearce and Maloney as their future halves combination and the Knights just don't have the salary cap space to fit in a marquee player of Cronk's calibre. We'd have to offload Mullen or Gidley (or possibly both) to make room for Cronk and that's just not going to happen.

We also have Stig and Roberts waiting in the wings so it's not like we're short on halves options. Also we just signed Beau Scott and if our squad needs something it's more size in our forward pack. Rumour has it we're after Jeff Lima or JWH to bolster our pack.

If Cronk goes to the Titans then he's got s*** for brains. Out of those 4 clubs the Dragons are the only likely sane alternative for Cronk's services considering how much spare cap space they have and the fact that Ben Hornby isn't far off retiring.

I'm willing to stick my neck out here and say he'll be going to the Dragons or staying put at the Storm.

I think the Knights have a lot of guys off contract this year, and I'd think most of their forwards would be on relatively small deals. Can't see them having enough space for a serious run at Cronk though.

Has to be Dragons/Titans, with Titans the favourites.
